that seems like a super arrogant thing to say before the movie is actually out tho.
we should at least admit the possibility that it will suck or not make sense (even if the probability is small), anything else is basically worshipping a holy cow, and if its good and you go in with that sort of attitude, you're not going to appreciate the actual movie but some idea of what you think it stands for...
Also, people are allowed to have opinions
attitudes like this is the reason ppl hate reading classics in school. Most are good books (except Brecht and Schiller, those certifiably suck, even I get why we were made to study them), but of course people will hate it if it's presented to them as "better than the trash you're interested in"
that's also like you get ppl that idea of "being deep" but they just wear it like a fashionable shirt
