Oh, thanks!

BTW, I found TruthfulLie's comment that core could be the new LCL VERY interesting.

What if the coreification continued during 4th Impact, and the next time we see the moon it is almost completely, or completely formed by core? I don't know what that has to do with the Instrumentality Project though. The landscape had teeth. Maybe Instrumentality this thime is turning the whole planet into core and making one Fruit of Life being? It would be visually stunning!

Ryuko: "I'm gonna knock ya on your asses!"

Just noticed and i wanted to add, that those.. lines going from Yui to the core look exactly like the patterns on the Seele Monoliths in 3.33.

Just noticed this. On the border surrounding the blue "iris," it looks like there are hundreds of poles/pylons. Are those angel-sealing hex pillars?

We don't know what these "pylons were", and since they had been destroyed when the Black Moon emerged, we probably never know unless new ones appears somewhere else in Final.

But the image of the inverted makes me wonder two things :

1/ what is that giant "blue iris" made of? It's the only piece of the outside landscape that isn't blood-red, it is "blue core" like Bardiel's?

2/ when you look closely at the area between the cross shaped gap and the beginning of the "iris"(at the most bottom of the image), you can see lines in the ground like roads, and indeed the moment when the Black Moon emerged showed to us that this little area corresponds to the surface Tokyo-3, the place we saw crawling with FoIs when Kaworu showed to Shinji the post-3I landscape...
But if you zoom at the area beyond the iris(after the "pylons"), then the landscape is absolutely barren, there is not a trace of any road, building, bridge... nothing!

It's like a gigantic explosion blown everything to the foundations!

I think what happened is that the remnants of Tokyo 3 collapsed in what once was the Geofront (maybe when the inverted pyramid started rising up in the sky.

Third impact probably resulted in an explosion that destroyed everything except that collapsed part of the city.
