Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

All my life I have quested to become a creature of myth but the vicissitudes of morality are set in my flesh like hooks and anchor me to the dirt.

Morals aren't a bad thing to have Chuck.

That was a typo. I meant mortality.

I'm leaving it because I find this amusing.

Spent most of the day downloading Skyrim mods and listening to sappy love songs.

The curse of a Chuckman is the power to objectively grasp my own emotional processes but not simply switch them off.

I know this curse. It is irksome.

Everybody we know is safe, but this flood is fucking scary shit. The storms last night (until 3 or 4 AM) were pretty bad too--I don't ever remember seeing lightning THAT bright or hearing thunder so close.

I ordered two CDs online to be shipped, because I couldn't find either of them anywhere to download. The first one arrived today, and so I went to import it on my laptop; apparently, my disc drive is no longer detecting discs. This is especially infuriating, considering that it had been working just fine about a month ago. Thing is, I'm less concerned about the drive at the moment (and misguidedly so) because I'm mostly worried about how I'm gonna get the songs from hard disc to my phone. I don't even want to think about how long it's going to take to get drive fixed.

I had the same problem. I circumvented that issue by going to an internet cafe, putting the disc into the terminal and putting the files onto my USB stick. Maybe that is of help.

Yeah, I figured something like that or a public library would work. Though, it now occurs to me that I'll be starting school again in a couple weeks, and so I can likely make use of their library.

So, now it's back to worrying about the disc drive. More money down the drain... :irked:

A cheap USB drive might come up cheaper than a repair to a laptop.

gah. things have really been falling apart lately.

so i'm almost done with my junior year of high school, and i'm stressing the fuck out about grades. i'm trying to get so many things done... i even have a drivers' ed final exam today that i am completely unprepared for. as a result, my physical health isn't doing great and i'm getting kind of fat, too. i just want summer to start...

but also the seniors are graduating and while i'm happy for them, i can't believe i'll have another year with most of my friends basically gone. i'm kind of sad that i never got to know a lot of people better (my social life in high school is generally shit)

on top of that, i have awful stuff going on with my parents and they are being very manipulative... it doesn't help things

You reminded me that I wish the Internet was a bigger thing when I was in high school 10 years ago. AIM only helped so much for venting.

Keep in touch with your friends via social media for sure!

Stay strong! My Junior year was shit in various ways, too (friends graduating--including my 1st Boyfriend, dealing with tragic news of a childhood friend dying, etc).

Look into sone cool clubs to join next Fall in between balancing schoolwork, and try to look into some fun fitness thing over the summer. Any sports you enjoy watching or doing?

I know that sounds hollow, but I just want to tell you, that high school generally sucks for almost everybody and that it's only a fraction of your life. You can do it, just don't let it all get too much into your head.

updog: i was 3% away from failing the drivers ed final but somehow i made it.

Also, i used to be a gymnast and cross country runner but i hated everyone in those teams with a passion. they were all arrogant people with superiority complexes who hated me. so i quit.

i do run for fun though! It really does lose weight quickly and it's fun if you are running somewhere scenic.

i am so glad i have a job because even though it's boring and mindless, it's an escape from my house. and the money gives me a lot of freedom. I am definitely going to be heading to the city more to see my long-distance friends
