I had to rewatch Kiki ' s Delivery Service to get undepressed. Kiki! Thats how freaking dark, depressing, and relentlessly sad 3.0 was for me. It made me rewatch Kiki!

Anyway, thanks for the fluff.

Do you have any of Rei in the yellow sweater? That always brightens my mood, shame we never get to see it much in Canon.

Maybe not at such close proximity (the medical box was quarantined around Angel Sealing Pillars for a reason, and with her angelic eye I doubt that being in the pillar's circle would be good for her health), but I can very well envision her going to see him from afar, probably from an observation window, just to see his face and confirm that he's indeed back and get lost in thoughts. In fact, that would tie very well with Mari's teasing about why did Asuka got to see Shinji in the interrogation room in 3.0, she probably caught Asuka staying in BM-03's quarantine room! :D
