What's the source of this trailer? I watched the entire video in the spoilers subforum, but I still don't understand where does it come from.

Being new video content, it's technically against spoiler policy to do more than show the neutral text here. Also, I've only seen a rip posted to /a/, rather than having an amazon.co.jp link to give, alas.

That's most likely fake. It would use some new footage to say the least.

Not necessarily if Khara want to keep the audience as little informed as those who first go into the theater. (and didn't scoured the internet in search of leaks)

Well, I need concrete evidence. Official social media are silent.
“Like a miracle, life starts with the pain / Forever this will be” — “Heroes of Sand” by Angra.
“É porque nós gostamos de você. Obrigada por conversar comigo. Vem, me dá a sua mão para andarmos juntos.” — Rei to Shinji (Portuguese dub).

Would be a pleasant surprise if true and I'd welcome it - it'd be easier to keep avoiding spoilers if I had a date - but until either Amazon, Khara or Toho make an official announcement I'll treat it as a fun & well-made fan edit.

I doubt any announcement will be in any way ambiguous.

Fake. I've seen the trailer, it's not even a decent fake.

That site claim was that Amazon.it was contracted to get Shin three weeks after the Japanese premiere when it was originally scheduled for January, so the conditions have obviously changed because of the delay to March 8. Moreover, after Avant 1 disappeared from Amazon.jp yesterday at midnight (as scheduled), the TV series, Death(true)^2 and EoE popped up on Prime Video Japan (albeit not free), so now they have the entirety of the franchise. April might still be it.

What would motivate someone to fake an Evangelion streaming release date, of all things?

People are weird.

The hard release date was the last thing about this movie that still needed confirmation. Would’ve been amazing if it were April, but a (presumably) international streaming release barely 3 months from the theatrical run is still insanely good.

Yeah, still holding out hope for April but if that leak had turned out real I probably would have had to go with a similar strategy. It's been pretty hard to concentrate on anything other than Eva the past couple of weeks and idk if I could handle 2 more months of that.

Same. I despise having this hyperfixation for 3.0+1.0. I'm desperate to see it at this point

As I said previously, now is the right time to do some pending project to keep your mind off Shin. For example, if you have a Steam backlog to empty, now's the moment to get on it, just check the forum quickly once a day (or every couple of days) to see if there are news on the release, and if not just go back to your projects.
The worst thing to do is to continuously check the forum in the hope to catch a news the moment it arrives, that'll make it impossible to keep your mind off Shin. If a date is released, it won't change anything if you learn it right away or a few hours/days later.
