Why haven't Faye, Jet, Edward and Julia gotten action figures yet?

That cover art is certainly a lot better than the ones we got.

It's high time I watch this again, haven't in years. I don't know when I'll find the time to though, might just rewatch Ballad of Fallen Angels over and over.

Funi's blog posts on the release. The movie isn't included though. Not a licensing issue is it?

Yes. Someone else has the license and has issued a budget release blu-ray. It's on Amazon if you want. It has no special features and 2.0 sound. Terrible.

Have actually not seen the movie yet. As much as I love CB not at the point yet where I'd put money down on it.

I just pre-ordered the Funimation limited edition (limited to 2500 copies, I think) that looks like a vinyl record. I guess it's impractical, but I've always been a huge Bebop fan, so I'm looking forward to this.

My family is basically just giving each other the gift of Cowboy Bebop this Christmas. I've bought a copy, my dad bought a copy and my sister is getting my dad's old DVD set from like 2002. Fun times to be had by all.

I wish my family was cool like yours. Though, my brother has the Bebop DVDs (forget what year he got it in whenever back when, but I'm pretty sure it's the remastered sound DVD set), I think he liked the series overall.

I still haven't watched the Movie. EGF's general verdict on it?

I think it's like a longer, particularly good episode of the show. You should watch it.

Still haven't seen the movie yet either. I was hoping for it to be set after the TV series, but no.

The movie is pretty awesome. The animation and production design are phenomenal and the soundtrack is exceptional, but that goes without saying.

The opening sequence alone is a masterpiece of animated cinema.

I caught the last showing of the Bebop movie in theaters here in Chicago back in 2003 with a friend of mine and his parents(in the exact same room in which I saw Funimation's better-than-the-original dub of Q :| ), before I'd even watched 50% of the series. I was supposed to have a little league game that night but it was rained out; divine intervention, man. One of the proudest moments of my life. But, yea, I've always described it as just about six bebop episodes in a row with better animation. Wonderful action sequences as others have said, too.

Speaking of Bebop, I do an annual viewing of NGE and Bebop every December, but unfortunately I don't think I'll be getting the blu rays until XMas, so I'll probably just watch the series in HD from Speak Like A Child(since it's my allll time favorite episode in the series) on.

Still have to figure out what to do with my DVDs of the series though, since I sorta have sentimental attachments with them.
I used to work in a factory and I was really happy because I could daydream all day -- I.C.
And thanks to EVA, I've started like myself and that has made me very happy. Mr. Anno, please keep working on EVA a lot more.
and thank you so much for everything!!

It also has my favorite Bebop song. That entire sequence with Vincent and Spike is phenomenal, I haven't found a better hand to hand fight than theirs yet.

SPOILER: Show

At first I thought this might be a reference to Cowboy Bebop, but then I found out the comic was published from 1989-90. It's from St Swithin's Day by Grant Morrison and Paul Grist. So are Bebop and this comic referencing something from the past? I googled it, but nothing came up. I find it unlikely that there would be a reference to such an obscure comic in Bebop. Sheer coincidence? If so, the similarity is uncanny.
