Relax. The entirety of Evangelion—EoE included—never got higher than a 15s rating from the BBFC. Unless the Daily Mail starts a campaign there's not much to worry about. Signs point to this not occurring as empowering the censor is not in the news media's best interests.

I always wondered if us folks in the UK could get in trouble for owning Eva, especially with things like Gendo's boob grab and Shinji's masturbation scene in EoE cause nutters would go, "OMG CHILD P0RN!" because you know, anything nude/sexual must be porn and that goes double for teenagers. But I guess according to that link it wouldn't be?
On topic I really wish I were in London right now :( I'm actually arranging going there to be with my Fiancé right now but he would never agree to go see Eva with me as he hates it with a passion

I would've gone if it hadn't coincided with exam season. Oh well, here's hoping there's a Welsh anime film festival...
Neon Genesis Evangelion (from the Greek Ευανγελιον, meaning "Gigantic robots piloted by mentally ill children")
Eva Facts:
-Gendo's final silenced line to Ritsuko was "I'm going to shoot you now."
-Nagisa Kaworu kills a kitten every time you masturbate.
-Kaji's first and last name was Kaji

Booked tickets for both today. Hells yes. Been waiting for 2.0 to come to London forever after a number of other UK venues hosted it recently. 1.0 being shown as well is a great bonus as I've missed it the two other times it was on (Sci-Fi London all-nighter at the Apollo and the Barbarbarbarbarbarbican.)

Finally, they get 'round to showing it in England and it's at a perfect time in which I can't attend. Gotta love exams. No worries though, the DVD should arrive from preorder not long after.
As for the new law; yes I agree it is ridiculous. But then again so are a lot of laws in England.

Appeared that the first screening (1.11) was a BluRay; nice and crisp, no wobble, good stuff. Loud too :]
Second screening was undoubtedly film strip; not so crisp picture, bit of a wobble here and there; makes you wonder why analogue is still around...
The BBFC chairman is apparently an EvaGeek too, there was no apparent censorship.
Only noticed the one cosplayer in the audience (a Mari); otherwise- a good mix of people, young and old, male and female.
I could detail my experiences of superawesomehappyfuntime those short, short 4 hours provided;
but I'll just give a huge thanks to Touka for the heads up, and strongly recommend everyone here to witness this Nirvana-on-screen whenever you get the opportunity.
Finally, being an EGF member has paid off :]
