Hm, curious. Contrary to you, I don't feel anything when looking at that picture. To me, the person depicted has no connection to Asuka. Yes, she looks like her, but that's it. The Asuka we see in Eva would not behave like shown in the image. For me, it's just another picture in a long list of pictures *not* showing Asuka, if that makes sense. Looks like some edgy fashion shoot for HotTopic or something. Just describing my reaction here, not arguing against what you said.

@Berserker: There's a translation of the doujin you posted (and a second one by the same author). I'll uploaded it to IMGUR for people who don't want to visit Hentai sites or search for it on some other obscure website. I just love their expressions. One in a while I'd like to see a take on Adult Asuka that doesnt end with her having kids.

I mean she's young of course she could still change her mind on the subject I dont have a problem with ppl giving her kids per se, its more that no one ever considers that she could be serious about it or that you can be a happy person (& even a happy couple) without kids...


As for the lipstick commercial, like obviously no thought was given to making it especially in character but Ithought it looked exactly like a typical celebrity endorsement or those wannabe artsy parfume ads.
The tagline "no more rules" was probably a crude attempt to reference the themes of rebelling. As performative as that is coming from any ad since its purpose is to get you to buy things.
