The thing about aeroplanes is that they enable you to discover that there are lands outside the US :tongue:.

An etymological dictionary might point out that "airplane" was first used in England, where it did not succeed in displacing "aeroplane" as it eventually did in the US.

Consider also "aerodrome"/"airfield"; but we do use "airport" and "aircraft" over here ("aeroport" is not English, though).

Lots of family related-stresses suddenly going on (suddenly sick relatives, upcoming family visit/family-related job stress, etc) so I won't be posting all that much for the next few weeks. I'm back for a limited engagement here. I've just been through a crazy couple of years, that paired with a failing computer and not as much access to the Internet and I have been isolated for a while. Haven't even been able to work on fan fic. I just got a tablet for my birthday though and since it pulls up desktop sites better than my phone I thought I would read and post about stuff here a bit before life gets hectic again.

Probably gonna gone again though soon.
