Lol, AFAIK this is actually how real life law works. You can build, completely on your own, a 100% replica of any contemporary car, say a Mercedes, as long as you embed in it at least one original part, eg. its emblem.

This could be something. When NHK marathoned the movies in the past they always had new info (first Q preview, 6 minutes of Q, Evangelion:3.0+1.0 reveal).

NTV had the marathon airings with new information, not NHK.

This is the first ever airing for the series on the main NHK channel. Hoping for something here.

^ Less an issue with NHK “being good,” and more “this doesn’t mirror past info reveals as much as we initially thought.”

As an aside, NHK was the network for which The Secret of Blue Water was produced in 1989, and it also hosted the premiere of The Dragon Dentist. They’re not a stranger to Anno’s work, we just don’t know if Khara will release any new information through broadcasts on their network.

I wonder if they’ll broadcast it over the “NHK World” international broadcasts they livestream from their site. That’d be hella dope if it was that convenient for me to watch.

We'll just have to see if Q has an updated preview after the NHK airing—it's possible if it'd be in August, after all ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also, it's interesting to note how Khara is teasing the month August.. First, we have that NHK rerun of the rebuilds announcement also happening in August, and now this.. Things just may be starting to look up.

The lantern festival canceled a few of their events, but is still planned to be held from Aug 6-9.

The Evangelion Wonder Festival event, originally delayed from the previous date of Jun 14th, is now planned for Dec 6th.

I was always skeptical (still am) of the idea that the film would be pushed to summer 2021. I think it'll screen around the same time as Q did in 2012.
