It just says that it'll be open sometime in the Fall, there will be some unique items for sale, and that they'll be holding some events there.

Will this store also be online, or even in English?

Well, the Evangelion Store is already online (this is supposed to be the real/physical version of the online one); regarding the second question, Gainax stopped caring about gaijin years ago, when they stopped taking orders from outside Japan (apparently because of many frauds), I don't know if they'll ever reverse their decision.
So let’s make a wish.

Their North American venture (by establishing a US branch office) tanked sometimes in the early 90s, and that was it.

No, I was referring to oversea shipping, back in the days the Gainax Store accepted international orders, that was the main reason for the English version of their website. Actually I don't remember when they stopped accepting orders, anyway they kept a non-updated English version for quite some time before getting rid of it (unfortunately) after a major restyling of their website.
EDIT: they stopped accepting international orders from 31/01/2003, I think they removed the English pages in 2006, there aren't crawled pages after 2005.
So let’s make a wish.

NewType with some coverage: http://anime.webnt.jp/report/view/2769

Radio EVA's coverage (interesting silhouette down at the bottom) http://radio-eva.jp/blog/2011/1122-5572.php

Some of the unique items at the Harajuku store: http://www.evastore.jp/real/index.html#item

That ring is kind of neat.

Kaji's cabbage field?

They even have fusion cuisine for Eva http://radio-eva.jp/evameshi/

According to reports I read, the idea is to build Harajuku into OTAKU-03 (after Akihabara and Nakano) :)

And Natsuki Katoh, otaku model+actress, looks so gorgeous - she may not look so much like Misato, but she is as attractive if not more :)
I never thought I would come back to Evangelion after EoE,
But I discovered Re-Take (or it found me?) and
now here I am.

How I would love to go to one of these stores. It would be so much fun just to browse.

Too bad some of the stuff is obnoxiously expensive though. Are Japanese shirts usually like, $70 or are people just paying an Eva tax?
