Only Mari, Asuka and Rei are in Plugsuits, Shinji and Kaworu aren't... And I don't see any other person in anything that resembles a plugsuit...
I'm really interested in the first gal from the left...
She does resemble one on the secondary bridge operators (you know wich one I'm talking about)...

This "imagebam" site is giving my browser heartburn, though.

Of note:

Mari almost looks like she's taking tips from The Major from "Ghost in the Shell." And the circles and panels look like the interlocking "comm" circles from the GiTS anime series. (I think this is my favorite picture of the group.) Now that her uniform is devoid of its usual pink color, the similarity between the "ribs" in her plugsuit and Karowu's is particularly noticeable.

Rei is standing the same (?) corridor where the JSSDF gunned down civilians in EoE, or maybe when she later "returns the favor."

Asuka in her normal plugsuit: The green accents on her collar really look like Eva-02's eyes here. Hmm.

Shinji needs a hug. He really does look like "NERV's sad puppy" here. And since I noticed Asuka's collar accents, I'm now noticing that the red accents on Shinji's collar and pectorals look like 01's eyes. The red "core" motif at the center of his chest is likely intentional, too.

A similar visual element, sure, but the rings in this pic are based on the giant... CT? PET? MRI? whatever rings used to examine Eva-01 in 2.xx:

Also liking the black and red that Unit 02's got going on. But what's that weird motor thing in the back roughly where the umbilical cable's plug would be? Something to do with fixing it after the whole ZA BEASTO fight?

That seems to be some piece of standard cage equipment it's been there since Jo and can be seen in cut 228. My BD drive is disconnected now so I can't grab a screencap but I'm sure someone will oblige if you need it.
I'm flipping through the CRC and the layout for that cut has it labeled as Mabuchi Motor, not Kuroshio. Mabuchi is a famous electric motor manufacturer. Anyway I have no idea what these things do but they plug into the inner facing side of each shoulder pylon. The toys and model kits have a hole or indentation in that spot.

Another thing I just noticed: What's with those spikes on the right cuff on test suit Asuka's hand?

Those have always been there.


Either way I don't think any of these illustrations should be taken as specific clues for Q. Maybe the Kaworu and newsuit Asuka one, but that's about it. The others seem to be from the "past", not the future.

^ Seen it before. It is a poster to recruit "happy walker" who volunteers to take care of young dogs which are destined for guide dog service as well as walk old retired dogs. It was released back on Nov 20 2010 and used in Fukuoka and Yamaguchi prefectures. The dog is a male Labrador Retriever named "Lune" (meaning Light).

So in 2.0 we get Test Suit Shikinami and in 3.0 we get Shikinami wearing cat ears? Would be nice if the space suit outfit is in an ironic matter (since the test suit's irony could have been better with being implemented).

I agree that Asuka's bangs covering her eye is a nice (somewhat sexy) touch. Then again I also like the pictures of Rei where bangs cover her eye (whether or not she's clad in bandages).
