The second movie will have JA2 in it, from Evangelions 2, and the pilot (to bring this back on topic) will be Asuka. Her first appearance will be as the test pilot for it, but she will be cooked by the radiation. Shinji will think he killed her even though it was the radiation, because he couldn't save her, and the new pilot sent from Germany at the end of movie 1 (Kaworu) will be there to comfort Shinji. Movie 3 will be Kaworu and Shinji getting it on, and Movie ? will be the ressurection of the demon hellbeast (Asuka) and her destroying the world.

And everybody dies, and it's Asuka's fault.

So Asuka is in movie 2 and ?.

Yes, of course: the Misato/Shinji relationship developing, the "questions/suspensions" of intent surrounding NERV/SEELE, etc. But the episode also shows that the purpose of Eva itself was still quite murky at that point, a la the whole "Aluka" thing being eventually left on the drawing board.

Maybe we'll get some Gendo/Shinji in Rebuild, just to screw with everybody.

Like I said, Asuka brief cameo at least. Personally, for some odd reason I envison it similar to the short snippit we get at the end of DEATH after the credits roll: The Shinji that's not our Shinji leaving the auditorium. Basically, something along the lines of Asuka walking....somewhere, like to the boats with Kaji-san.

I thought that Film one might end with Gendo's mysterious phone call about the sample of mystery (assuming Asuka turns up in the same way, not say left on the doorstep) and 2 opens on the trip to the boat. But it'll probably end with the lights coming back up all over the country.

Or after the credits there is a silhouette of a certain girl in a dress on the deck of a ship.

Yeah although I don't think there's any real proof of Kaworu being a Dr. Katsuragi clone I think theres even less of him being a gendo clone. So no that wouldnt be incest unless there's something about Shinji we don't know :o

Something interesting to consider, maybe Asuka and Kaworu will both show up at the end as the new pilots from Germany?

There's also a sample Rei-Kaworu image in that lot. I guess Asuka and Kaworu just weren't included in the trailer.

Maybe Asuka and Kaworu do show up as test pilots from Germany earlier on in the series, as part of mutual compatibility tests with the other Evas? Or maybe Kaworu is going to turn up from the United States instead? After all, the logical choice for Kaworu to use would be Sangoki(Hijacked and mutated by that creep Bardiel), which comes from the United States.

The more I think about it, the more ways I find to put them together during the timeline of the earlier episodes. We haven't seen anything entirely out of the TV series so far, so I guess all we can do now is...guess?
