Spotted something familiar in the latest chapter of Mahou Sensei Negima.

Last chapter? Maybe in July.

Those creatures were already shown in an earlier chapter when describing the magic world war, but it's nice to get a close-up view.

Last one translated by AQS, who are admittedly a ways behind.

Musically, there have been quite a few references to Eva in the J-Core scene recently...

DJ S3RL's "Genesis", sick hardcore track predominantly a Cruel Angel's Thesis rmx. Uses dub dialogue throughout--the exchange between Shinji and Gendo regarding Toji and Eva 03.

MUZIK SERVANT has been known to reference Eva in his stuff extensively. His "Angel to da Moon" comes to mind. It's a really cool happy hardcore mix of CAT and Fly me to the Moon directly afterwards. it can be found on his Servant Collection 1.

the one and only DJ SHARPNEL (one of J-Core's most prolific figures atm) went by Neon Genesis Gabbangelion for a while. At least a couple albums were released by them under that name. Site for NGG here: http://www.sharpnel.com/neon_genesis_gabbangelion.htm. Many tracks released by NGG have original VA dialogue in them, along with CAT bits here and there.

I noticed this while on IMDb today.

Probably not a reference, but quite amusing nonetheless.

That pose, with a man's(or woman's) hands crossed, in front of their mouth, is very common. Not a Reference or Homage.

If he had glasses, then yes, that you be a reference or a homage.

That pose wasn't invented by Evangelion, it just happens to be the most popular because of /b/

From 'Blue Drop' episode 13 - supposedly a surveillance picture of a fighter plane. I've been informed by people more knowledgeable than me, that Eva in turn references '601' itself.

"601" is from the 1971 movie version of the Andromeda Strain, an error message caused when the computer's overloaded with data. It worked in Evangelion thematically (It pops up when trying to analyze Shamshel's S2 engine). Don't know why the makers of Blue Drop decided to stick it in. Maybe it's just a coincidence?

Episode 23, it's now a "Psychic ET Field" -- but due to the magic of softsubs, I haven't been able to take a confirmatory screencap...

He shuddered a bit, remembering the somewhat creepy level of detail Kaji had gone into, while rubbing a watermelon in a disturbingly sexual way.

This first thing is not the least bit Eva-related, but I thought it was an amusing, vague similarity. Joe Rogan describes his experiences in an isolation tank:

Any aspect of your behavior or your life that you're unhappy with will be dragged out of the shadows of neglect and denial, and put on center stage with a giant spot light on it. If you're the type of person that is trying to evolve and grow, it's an amazing tool, but if you're the type of person that would rather go through life with blinders on it's going to give you a psychic beating.

Apparently, some people make a living by renting out these tanks, but I don't think anyone has as of yet tried to market them as "home instrumentality devices". Business opportunity ahoy!

Secondly, do you like your anime with
[ ] gutless protagonists
[ ] bizarre religious references and general pretentiousness
[ ] "witty" otaku references
[ ] weird sexual imagery and transdimensional space vaginas?

If you answered yes to any of these, you might want to check out this obscure one-episode OAV from 1992 named Hanappe Bazooka (just search /rs/). It's one of the strangest animated things I've ever seen, and the strangeness is only compounded by the fact that ANN lists Go Nagai and Kazuo Koike as its original creators! What were they thinking? What was anyone involved in its production thinking?

Watch it and learn that Anno truly invented nothing new.

Found this pretty obvious reference. It's from a currently airing fall show called Macademi Wasshoi. Other than it's name I know nothing about it, but I love nekomimi Fuyutsuki.

Unfortunately, Evangelion wasn't the source of the concept of Instrumentality.

"Absolute Territory"? Is this the new definition of AT Field I haven't heard about?

Although it does make more sense than Absolute Terror...

No, this was a joke. When this episode aired a bunch of people started making parody ties between it and the End of Evangelion. They don't actually say any of that. And this concept is used all over the place, dating prior to Evangelion.
