Which makes it all the more frustrating that the bare head shown in episode #02 has no trace of a visible mouth whatsoever. :?

Might just be me, but Yamashita-san's original concept art for that scene seems to have a line corresponding to her mouth (on the "partially armored head" drawings, anyway). Also, in the left drawing, it almost as if the exo-teeth are pulling down on her lip; and in the right one, it looks like an extension of the buccal piece is going beneath her lip or something. :shrugs:

About the only thing I like from episode #02 is how they put the Sachi face on her forehead. The rest is a mess.

Sachiel, Sammael, Zeruel, Gaghiel, Eva, Israfel, Lilith, (i think adam had one cuz of those black dots for eyes)...and Arael may have had one but he glows and we cant tell

Adam's "black dots for eyes" appear to just be her regular eyes in their "intense" state, not unlike how an Eva's eyes go hot-white (in theory). Lilith shows off the "intense" black eyes, as well, when she wakes up in EoE.



(And they don't have the red dots in them at first.)

Seeds are associated with extreme paleness, and their eyes' intense state is black. Evas have very dark complexions, and their eyes' intense state is white. Cute, eh?

Yes, poor Matariel never got any glory. He just walked around and peed into sewers and was pwnd by bullets. That was sad.
