AAAAAAAAA its happening

Seeing Asuka & Mari in matched plugsuits suggests that the franken EVA from the trailer might still totally be happening.

Since that Mecha attacking the Wunder is orange I wonder if we'll see whatever horrorfest the "later" Ayanami-types are.

A lot of the interesting parts are the more complex harder to see shots, tho like the one where Asuka's walking somewhere or the "food" shot.

That red eye looks like it might be the Rebuild version of GNR

I love that they're not showing us who is holding out a hand in that one black plugsuit; Shinji or Kaworu in either case it would be a whammy (for Kaworu if he lives for Shinji if he's piloting anything) - it does seem to parallel earlier shots of Kaworu holding out a hand.

I also really love that shot of ReiQ turning around/ noticing that Shinji's trailing behind, how understated it is, how its shown from the distance like one of those old fassbinder movies; I don't trust him to have a good reaction tho and id classify neither rebuffing her nor acting like its the other Rei as good

Oh I wouldn't be surprised if Rei and Shinji happened to get snazzy new plugsuits in the final film. Wouldn't be surprised at all.

I far prefer something like the mechas of Zeta Gundam or something like that. The mechs in Evangelion are just okay for me.

It's just my personal preference.

Yeah Zeta gundam's one of my favorites animes ever made (my avatar reflects that) it does help that Tomino directed Zeta so you've got crazy stuff thanks to that (oedipus complex included) the mechs in zeta (and gundam by extension) are also more of my liking than eva but I'll be honest I love mecha it's my favorite genre and probably will be for years to come not only "because of the mechs" but because more often than not,Mecha anime is so damn good and mecha is not restricted to giant robots either.

the mechs in eva have an "aura" similar to kamen rider and ultraman if you understand what I mean (except when they don't)so they appeal to my other hobbies as well.

I have to think of GNR too with that red eye shot.

But I have to wonder. Anno went out of his way to "skip EoE" and kill the remains of Rebuild's GNR in 3.0. I think that was to prevent from doing anything similar here.

If these trailers assure me of one thing, contrary to what we see in some big franchises now, this will remain inventive till the very end.

I'd like to know what exactly is happening in this scene, to whom Rei Q is offering help? the most obvious answer is Shinji
But could it be Rei II?

Another thing that you can really see here is that Mari's hair is longer post timeskip. It was seen in the character models but there wasn't really a good shot of her standing in Q

I read a 4chan "Leak" , Gendo's go back for Ayanami , Asuka thinks he was looking for Shinji but Gengo says what Shinji is not usable anymore for them ...

Sheesh, back in 2012 I may or may not have filmed the whole movie with my camera... But I never ended up uploading it. It would be interesting now looking for differences between Q and 3.33 tho, but alas, the files have been lost in hard drive failure (along with almost all my other pictures from Japan)

I wouldn't pay any mind to 4chan (or any other website for that matter!) "leaks". The vast majority are just spouting completely unfounded nonsense following the general principle of "if you throw enough crap to the wall, some of it is gonna stick"; there's definitely going to be some stuff in there that is true to some extent, not because the poster actually knew, but rather because just statistically, with the amount of predictions and guesses being made, some of it has to be true out of necessity

My headcannon was that the brain is used as the supercomputer because an organic brain is far more powerful than an artificial computer, regardless of what the person did in life.
Besides, Misato IS the one calling the shots. Kaji wouldn't betray both Misato and Ritsuko.
Remember how in EoE Naoko betrays Ritsuko over Gendo?

I don't think there is enough runtime available to have any of the characters being locked out of the plot, so I would tend to exclude any meaningful °prison time° for any main character.
