Mystery Items

As we have just seen, mystery items may sometimes be dropped by enemy units when destroyed, other mystery items might appear on the board in far-off places.
The rewards of mystery items will vary, some may contain special abilities, others may contain SADE supplements, which bolster your EvaUnit’s SADE.

If you intend to pick up a mystery item, order your command as follows:

*It would be a good idea to highlight the fact that the command is incomplete.

^At this point, the game master will PM the player, revealing the contents of the item.
Knowing what the item does, the player can then complete their command by editing their post. Ideally, this should be the only situation where editing a command is allowed.

See our commands list; after (moving and) picking up an item, the player can end their turn by either:
1. Moving.
2. Using the item. (Or indeed, any other item)
3. Dropping the item. (Or indeed, any other item)
4. Battling/Shooting/Initiating Unison. Baring in mind that a unit cannot move and battle/etc. after picking up an item.

Special Abilities

When assigned- special abilities will grant various, useful and strategic benefits to the capabilities of an EvaUnit.
Every special ability will have unique properties; some will have a continuous effect on the unit; some can only be used in battles/shootings; some might only be useable once every few turns; many will have side-effects, costs, parameters to be met, or a risk factor.

An EvaUnit can have multiple special abilities assigned to it, we may put a cap on the amount later.

Two SAs we’ve encountered thus far include:
Scouter” – assigned to EvaUnit 00 Blue.
and “Inazuma Kick” – assigned to EvaUnit 03 Blood.

“Scouter” reveals strategic information to the pilot of Unit00. This is a continuous ability and can be activated at any time.

“Inazuma Kick” is a battle ability, granting Unit03 a boost of power- at a price.

If you wish to activate your unit’s special ability, simply mention it within your list of turn commands, like so:

…or with battle abilities:

Notes:
1. It doesn’t matter where the “activate” command is typed (it can be the first line of the post or the last); as long as it is mentioned, the special ability will be activated.
2. Special abilities are completely optional, they don’t have to be activated if you don’t want them to be.
3. Activating a special ability alone (with no movement ordered etc.) doesn’t count as a valid turn command.

Trading Places

If you wanted your EvaUnit to occupy a space already taken by another allied unit- or to become more like Eddie Murphy- you would use the trade places command:

I can't take on that SimAngel near me, my shot won't be effective enough.

Alright then, I'm gonna try to pick up, move and give GGSS that item near me in one turn. Does that work?

PC4 – The commands list allows an EvaUnit to pick up an item and move. Picking up an item, moving and using an item however, is not allowed.
You’ll have to wait until next turn to heal Unit03 Blood.

An EvaUnit can hold an unlimited* amount of positron rounds.
Picking up a(n extra) loaded cannon/rifle is allowed; the number of positron rounds in the EvaUnit’s inventory will simply increase accordingly.

Unfortunately for Unit07 right now, it is holding the maximum 3 separate items right now.
