I suggest that you should watch HxH (2011 anime version) instead of reading it.

I just finished reading Blue Drop I started reading it because Tines mentioned it in the Eva pic thread, it was a nice short series, it reminded me of good old '80s sci-fi; in particular Tenshi no Bokura was especially good since it exchanged some yuri with delicious crossdressed boys, the plot got a more linear development (the original manga was a collection of 5 oneshots) and the setting finally became detailed enough (I was especially interested in the colonisation and assimilation of humanity, Japanese are obsessed with blue eyed and light haired invaders  ).

I'm going to watch the anime now, it sounds interesting since it deals with the actual war but unfortunately I suspect that I won't see any cute trap, too bad.
So let’s make a wish.

I ordered the first volume in my last BDUK order. Nihei is the man, man.

Also Terra Formars looks amazingly hilarious and horrifying all at the same time - Seems like the kind of book I can just follow in scanlations.

I guess this could classify as manga. I finished reading the Evangelion Comic Tribute.

That was brilliant. I needed a good laugh, and it delivered in spades.

Akame ga Kiru is just one of those many "mature shounen" manga series that come out at times that make up for the lack of substance through tons of edgy material, violence and "DARKNESS". It's one of those series that a caricature characters pointing at the cover with the severed heads and limbs of some random guy and saying "LOL look at this dude! Look at how bloody and gory all this is! This is mature, man! Completely mature!"

Now go read Five Star Stories, June

Nausicaa gets better by the volume, some really cool early-Miyazaki stuff in there.
