I think I heard him say "with that said, get well."
Is it just me, or am I (not) alone?

Can we take Utada Hikaru as an example of a fluent English speaking Japanese? My memory is not serving me correct, is she half Japanese, half American?

Speaking of English as a universal language, try calling a call center of a company - say AT&T, your phone call is sure to be routed to an international AT&T business center. Try and ask the agent where are they located, some would say India, some would say the Philippines. Try to listen and compare the two nationalities, see who's better.

PS: Don't be mean to call center agents, we also get pissed.

Who was the one that sang Komm Susser Tod? That was some fluency in English I tell you what.
Please just call me Ian, "TheFrisky" is more of a title.

I think so. I believe she also was born in Japan, but grew up in New York. I'll bet growing up as a child speaking a foreign language helped a lot to make sure she speaks English nearly without a Japanese accent. I almost wonder if she speaks Japanese with an American accent.

Watch Zettai Karen Children (aka Psychic Squad) -- the Comerican psychics in that have the most unmistakeable American accents to their Japanese. (Oh, my ears!)
