They played the song in the second episode, which was some time around the beginning of April. There wasn't any vocals when the did it because it was to show Yui what the club does. The song existed before Rebuild.

So,since Give Me Wings is a good song and seems to be on Par with the other famous songs I.E. Cruel Angels Thesis and the likes.I'm wondering.Is there an instrumental version of it?When I listen to the longer version of it,there are two parts without singing and makes me think there is an instrument version out there.I know it doesnt make sense to think like that but meh.Figure I ask.And also,one more thing.Another reason I think there is an instrument version is this song and Today is the Day I say Goodbye are songs that was borrowed from another OST from what I hear.So,yeah.

Oh?Are they old songs?Wasnt aware of that.Despite that,they're both pretty good songs although the Goodbye one I cant stand for some reason.Just seems ridiculous.But whatever.It isnt a completely bad song I suppose.

Looking at the aspect of mood of course it didn't fit, but artistically I liked good bye in that song.

Yeah I was told give me wings was a sort of legendary 70's song that everyone knows about in Japan, and that over the years a huge multitude of covers surfaced due to its status.

Well yes and no. The instrumentals didn't seemto fit, but the lyrics are a dead on fit.
