^ Hm. I never really like "Come, Sweet Death," so I was really surprised by the new music. The new
SPOILER: Show
music sort of made Shinji pulling Rei out of Zeruel bare, and simple. It was a good track to show off Shinji's reaction to pulling Rei out of Zeruel. Very quiet, very simple. Sort of reminds you of home, you know? It was comforting but at the same time very sparse. That's an interesting combination.

Though in another camrip I heard what sounded almost identical to a Kare Kano piece. I wonder about Sagisu now...

Or maybe I just don't like songs in English.

The score is gonna be weird cause they clearly use some His and Her Circumstances (or KareKano, whichever you prefer) in 2.0. They lift the emotional piano piece and from the camrip there's at least two variations on that tune- 1 with Asuka & Shinji in bed, and the other when Shinji is gardening with Kaji. They've also got the upbeat classroom tune for- convientely enough- classroom scenes.

Yet all the music with Zeurel was either old Eva or new tunes. I particularly like the beat when

Zeurel first arrives up to Mari in Eva 02 attacking.


It's gonna be an interesting score nonetheless.

And I know it's off topic but if anyone could PM a location to find the His & Her Circumstances soundtracks online I'd be very grateful. I've been searching for them on and off for a while now. Cheaper the better. Free would be best but we don't condone that stuff here....openly.

Thanks bro, this piece is the SHIT. One of the most beautiful additions to Rebuild and the entire Evangelion soundtrack to date, in fact to me this might even top Angel of Doom :)

Doesn't this song play when the Beast version of Eva Unit 02 fights Zereul?


And of course its a lovely piece. Definitely tops Angel of Doom and also featured prominently in the second movie trailer for Eva 2.0

Oh man, I really want this soundtrack to go along with my 1.0 soundtrack. Now, if only searching for it could be easier....

If we lose the fight Armageddon will finally tell, burn in hell, there will be no after, be no other day.

That "armageddon" word is quietly fit to the entire movie as well.

Very good song.Although I was disapointed that they reused thanato's and the Beast II directly from the TV series instead of remixing them like they did for some of the songs in 1.0.

^ Is the second disc the entire musical pieces or just the edited soundtrack clips that feature in the movie? I can't remember.

Regardless I hope to have a copy within the next 48 hours!

Have I yet said today how awesome CtHuLhU is? Cause, well, YOU'RE AWESOME!

It does sound amazing. Like a REAL FILM soundtrack.

Reminder to everyone that the OST for 2.0 will be released tomorrow! I will be waiting it out until I get my hands on a physical copy. I'll be sure to post my opinions in this thread.

Also, just to make things clear, the first disc in the special edition contains films edits of all the pieces used in 2.0. The second disc is more akin to "Shiro Sagisu: Music from 1.0", containing the most important pieces of music in unaltered form.
