you do realize gurren lagann is a very popular and good anime right? also owned by the same company as eva, therefore why not premiere the trailer with the gl movie? Look on myanimelist top animes. Although it cant be used to reliably rate animes, it shows popularity well. #2 right now is Gurren lagann.

MAL is only an indicator of US taste.

Gurren Lagann movie 1 recieved a very limited theatrical release in Japan (which makes sense when you consider that it's a completely unnecessary edit of a very recent show), and I imagine the second will as well. Eva 1.0 debuted at #1 on the charts. If Gainax/Khara/Klock Worx are looking for exposure befitting a film of Eva 2.0's magnitude, the Gurren Lagann movie would be a bad place to go.

Mari´s image appeared at the "AOU2009 Amusement Expo", it´s the picture of a Sega´s figure design.

I'm not sure if this is a shooping or actual 2.0 promotional material, but it shows the 2.0 Asuka.

Pick is quite big, so its in the link----http://s5.tinypic.com/29nxkqx.jpg

Ah, it's great now. We're finally getting swamped with info about the new Eva movie.

That pic of Mari (if that is your real name) shows off a real confidant pose.

Plus is it just me or are those A10 Nerve clips on her head right above her ears? Confirmation of a new Eva pilot perhaps?

My bet is on ticket preorder image, much like the pic of Rei for the preorder tickets for 1.0. I'm guessing "Mari" will be on the third.

I believe in the director of Eva 1.11.

Asuka is supposed to be on the more expensive tickets (link to that image is on the front page), the regular tickets are just plain reddish with the Evangelion 2.0 logo on it.

And "Gainax" sounds like a brand of feminine hygiene products. (Just change the spelling a little...)

I thought (according to wiki) that it meant "giant robot X" or something

No, "Gaina" is a word that means something that I can't remember, and the "x" was added at the end to make it sound more like a giant robot name.

Gaina means "big" in a specific regional dialect. (iirc)
It's in the Notenki Memoirs, I can look this up Monday or Tuesday night when I get home.

Mari looks quite buxom, aherm aherm. So what's that patch on her shirt all about?

Disappointed that shingekkobanjo Asuka's plugsuit hasn't been modified to fit into the "core" motif.

No, no, no, see... "Gain" here sounds the same as "gyn-" (gyno-, "woman"), and "-ax" is used in the names of at least two manufacturers of "feminine hygiene" products (Tampax and... er...... Kotex, almost).

Can't you imagine? "Gynax": the brand you can count on for maximum absorbency, without all those embarrassing leaks and stains! We use only the finest, unbleached, pesticide-free cotton in our tampons, and offer an ultra+^50 size for customers as large as small skyscrapers.

School emblem was the first thought when I saw that design.

A trailer with DragonBall seems right since Dragon Ball is one of the most popular anime of all time and a lot of people will see it. The more people see the trailer and more people will see the movie. As much I hate the upcoming DB movie (I'm a huge fan and I refuse to call it Dragon Ball), a trailer does make more sense then have a trailer with Watchmen.

P.S The Rebuild of Evangelion Figures look awesome. Does anyone know if their release date for them yet?

Most all the new figures are due to be out this Fall, September-ish.
