Yep, as the rumours said yesterday, Japan's Feb 20 would have important news about "Ha". Official date. So the other rumour was true, the one about the "guy working on cinema" thing.

Why is everybody talking Gainax? Wasn't this Khara? The announcemente didnt even make it into Gainax's official website

The great thing about a release date (besides it being great) is now we should getting some REAL data on Film 2. I mean the film is only a little over 4 months from release now.
Hopefully we can expect a trailer in two months (attached to last Gurren-Lagann film....which I still need to see the first of), a full name for this Mari, pictures, knowing who's doing the damn theme song, how many Angels and who, etc etc.
This topic will be very relevant over the next couple weeks! Yay!
EDIT: Also took a look at that Animenewsnetwork article and it says the new teaser trailer for 2.0 will premiere in Japanese theaters on March 14. So it won't premiere with GL2.
...let's hope they don't pull an Anno and have the teaser trailer be nothing but white cryptic writing on black and classical music playing
