I was actually thinking in terms of the torques of the three rotors cancelling each other out. If that doesn't happen, then these helos can use coaxial twin rotors, similar to the ones used in Kamov helicopters (Including the Ka-50, which, if upgraded, would be the baddest-ass attack helicopter in the world, IMO)

@Avery- didn't exactly get what you meant, although I'm assuming it has to do with the scar.

@ UrsusArctos: Threeway mixups are sexy! If done right, that would be very interesting, to say the least.
In before anybody else says it: The Third SoL (one of the Adams) is Glasses Girl, and she's also the daughter of Shinji's sensei. That's like her cover, and stuff. Bwahahaha!

@klasnic: I officially love you. Thanks! ^_^

Uwaa! Rei 1 is even creepier-looking! O_O (This seriously made me jump and yelp!) But good, she actually looks younger here.

Personal Hell Train Motif....Good to have ya back! ;) ...And unless I'm seeing things, it looks like Shinji isn't looking back at a child-version of himself, but a skeleton? O_o Somebody, please verify!

PROOF THAT HOKARI HIKARI-SAN EXISTS IN WEBULD!

*to the tune of 9 Naked Men* "One naked boy that's missing ver dong would cause a heap of trouble for all concerned!"

For the time being, me thinks Lilith(?), the Moon Giant (Adam?) and Adam could very well be a three-way mixup. Or something. *shrugs*

In the bottom big pic, I don't like the circle thingy on Yui-sama's... forehead(?). It looks weird. >_< Besides that, her new look is fine with me.

What. The. Fuck. I don't recall Lilith's legs looking that extreme in the series! But THAT right there makes THIS unused ending scenario (thank God because imo Shinji wouldn't have learned a thing that way) come to mind:

http://www.angelfire.com/anime4/mdwigs/livesequence.html wrote:Rei and Kaoru are standing in front of Shinji.
Rei: "Only Angels can break the walls of an Angel heart."
Kaoru" And only humans can break the walls of a human heart."
Rei: "This is a possibility."
Kaoru: "The possibility that people can understand each other, sometimes."
Rei: "That they can understand each other without relying on words."
Shinji: "But that's just a make-believe."
Shinji: "Just a wish."
Shinji: "Just a prayer."
Rei: "But that instant is sincere."
Lots of people grow from Rei's body (!!?!? like with Lilith and her human legs?!? ^^;;; )
Rei: "Do you want to be, even if it may hurt somebody?"
Shinji: "I'll get hurt too."
Shinji: "But I can't do a thing if I keep fearing. I can't live."
Rei: "You protect yourself by hurting others, don't you?"
Shinji: "Maybe. But I'll hurt them in order to be myself. And I'll expiate as well."
Shinji: "For being alive."
Shinji: "But I find it harder to hurt others."
Shinji: "I'm just realizing this again. And I'll keep doing this over and over."
Shinji destroys the Spear of Longinus.

Anyway, with the red water/LCL Sea(?), either it IS Cyclical History or simply a means of scaring the shit out of the audience. Only time will tell, I guess.

No. The lighting just kind of makes it look that way. You are indeed seeing things.

This statement made me notice: it could just be this scan, but look right below where the shadow censors Kaworu's genitalia (or lack thereof). There actually appears to be some ovoid shape slightly visible.

Kaworu looks older. That makes me happy because that means I don't have to feel bad about liking Kaworu.

But that does make Kaworu x Shinji feel a little creepy if I think about it.

I shouldn't think about it.

Motoko?

Dunno man, the exposed spinal columns and brains seem like something straight out of Gunnm rather than GitS.

That part of the brain being exposed tho' is interesting - as in EoE all the prototypes have that part of the cranium covered with tarpaulin or whatever it is.

The new Seele monoliths are looking pretty fantastic. I remember when the when the redesigned Nerv and Seele logos popped up on the internet some six months ago or so and how the reactions (in this case on the Seele logo) weren't overly positive. But seeing it in it's intended context is an whole other story. It looks just right.

Dude! I never noticed this in the original show but Tokyo-3 isn't just a bunch of bland skyscrapers, randomly scattered across some valley!

Here's a shot from TV show:
http://img211.imageshack.us/img211/6638/tokyo3sunsetmc7.jpg
The cross shape of the city is much more apparent now that they've trimmed the skyscrapers, there's also an hexagonal pattern formed by the larger streets.

Oh yeah, thanks UrsusArctos.
Octagonal.

In the original series, the Tokyo-3 map overlay was often a grid of octagons , but I never realized that the skyscrapers were arrayed in a crucifix!

Crucifixes and octagons...oh, wow.
*Grunt voice* They're everywhere!

It isn't very clear, but we get a shot of Tokyo-3 where you can see it's in the form of a Sol Cross in ep. #21 I think.

Here we are, ep. #21, just after the scene with Gendo and Kozo chatting on the train - they enter the GeoFront and we get some shots of the Nerv pyramid under construction along with a view from the ground of the GeoFront at Tokyo-3 suspended above. It isn't a Sol Cross tho', there are too many squares for that.

What's this? Tokyo-3 resembles an actually city now, instead of "Generic Skyscrapers" that may or may not have been pulled from stock.
