If I were Gainax, I wouldn't release a trailer. Just keep it under wraps until the day it comes out. Just to keep the fans wondering.

Or if they release something, I bet it'll be the same as the 1st trailer, but with like a 2 sec scene or something...

They need to release a trailer to show that it's different from the series and that it's worth it to pay the price of the ticket.

With no trailer, people will think: "oh, it's the same as the TV series, that's why they're not showing anything, they're trying to cheat on us".

I have seen many descriptions and impressions of trailer from the Japanese blogs. For more details of these (in the dark box)
However, autor of the news tape said that he's doesn't believe it until not see with his own eyes...
