So the timer in the corner means the film is 9 rolls of film in total, right?

It was hard to grasp the first time, but I was under the impression that the 5th roll being the 41 minute D-Part meant it was also the final roll.

I thought of the same thing.

I hope it was just an announcement to start the day with. But maybe they did pull all nighters, which I would be very much against. I'd cut some slack since it seems to be a cultural thing Japan generally struggles with, but there are reasons, health reasons, the 40-hour week is a thing (and that might be cut down too at some point). Long hours come with making art, but there should be a limit somewhere.

I'll love this film but no staff member deserves not living their life fully against their will. I also think with such a long development time, figuring out how to make the film without the necessity of overtime should be production's top priority.

You know how these things go. Some staff might stay longer, which snowballs into others feeling obligated to do the same.

Anyway, I won't accuse of anything based on speculation. But those are my thoughts.

So seems last time we got confirmation of runtime five days before 3.0's release. Don't know if this pattern will be followed, or if that time khara just finished the film close to release (unlike now, where the film is finished and runtime thus set).

About the film being divided to "3.0" and "+1.0" parts with a mid credit roll separating them, remember that the original plan was to show Q and FINAL as a 2-in-1 "film" like The End of Eva. With Q ended up being a full-length feature on its own it's not impossible for the idea to be applied to Shin, not to mention that Utada seemingly has two new songs for it.

Since there was talking about a D part that got cut from Q for reasons unknown, the 3.0 part might still refer to 3.0 (just the D part), after that +1.0, lol?

The picture we saw in the Tweet has been shot on the final day of the dubbing, of a version not yet, but almost identical to for that of the audience. It's called 尻ブツ(ケツブツ) KETSUBUTSU... I don't know how this would be called in English, but it's the "behind" or "last" version of the movie, if that makes sense.
