What do you mean by "kids"? If you mean 12> we have to keep in mind Family Guy and South Park. But, yeah..

I am honored that my rhetorical question was interpreted as troll bait.

EDIT: But seriously why is the MPAA so damn conservative?

Apparently, America gets freaked out by sex and Europe gets freaked out by violence but Australia is apparently chill with both.

Their packaging isn't as good though.

They also basically banned Modern Warfare 2 for that "No Russian" level. Funny, how they ban it, and Russia just omits it.

There is some truth regarding America and Europe, and Australia does seem to be a bit easier on both, but the one country that is really chill with both is Japan

Looking at that, PFFT WHAT, thats easily fixed by changing a few numbers. "Not suitable for children" because of non-existant CP.

Anywho, back on topic. Other than the big ugly rating box it looks rather nice.

Your book has two different images of Asuka with the primal Unit01 as the cover with 2.02 as the back cover instead.

Zee Germans didn't get the orange case.

The UK's package overall isn't bad though. Although I do agree, is disappointing the lack of orange.

Just wondering, is their reason the packaging differs so much between countries? I mean I doubt a sequel to a niche film (Or how its probably deemed by most outside of Japan) will need to bother taking in account what attracts the locals. So why don't they just save themselves the hassle and package it the same for all countries?

If only they were all packaged like the Japan version.

I'm surprised there's no style guide for the Evangelion 2.22 logotype, because it looks to be just tacked on randomly on the English inserts.

FYI, our orange is very bright and fluoro compared to the original.

Each release has been encoded, authored, printed and packaged by the local distributor and in small markets (for anime), like Germany and the U.K., they probably thought that a custom packaging isn't worth the extra expense.
So let’s make a wish.

I think it has something to do with that orange peel finish. It's cool that it stands out a little but it just doesn't work, and it's easy to get scratched up.

I have the Hong Kong edition DVD (BD wasn't in the same region as my country), and it doesn't seem to have that problem, perhaps the stock it is printed on is different. It also doesn't have the flap which could cause it to peel, it also comes with a re-sealable wrapper, so it doesn't get scratched.

I'd so swap the English disc over to the better packaging if they'd both been BDs.

It looks like 1.11 will be getting a re-release with similar packaging to the 2.22 release. Just another two thing I gotta buy I guess.

Stoked, because my OCD collector tendencies were going crazy due to the 1.11 release not having a slip.

But then again, I have to buy the whole damn thing and not just the case itself.
