Yeah. You read right. This is for everything that doesn't have anything to do with Eva.

Glad you managed to get going! Don't make the mistake of seeing the initial improvement as a cure though - keep going (if you can) until the practitioner says you're good to go.

I've been slacking off on my scripts for a while now. I changed this morning to take my social worker's advice of coming up with a plot outline instead of writing off the top of my head.

Relating to the scripts, I asked a girl I met in my Summer writing class that I'm interested in dating if she would be interested in working on one my scripts, and she said yes.

I was a bit of a mess going in, but today has made three weeks, and my doctor is impressed with my improvement. And while nothing has really changed between then and now as far as my situation goes, I do genuinely feel a lot better. Just putting effort into changing my mentality and doing little things to be more active has done a lot to help my energy, and I feel less hopeless all the time. The hardest part was getting started, but now that things are in motion I'm really glad it worked out the way it did, and I'm feeling a bit optimistic about the future.

Very good to hear, I wish you all the luck in the world!

Might as well give a little update. The little one ended up coming out 5 and half weeks earlier than she should have, and last 3 weeks have been a bit extra chaotic due to this. Lots of stuff was not yet ready at home... Everyone is in good health tho, which is the most important thing ofc. Been at home with lil kiddo and mother two weeks now. Had/Got to spend a week at a hospital under intensive watch, and I have never been so glad for living in socialist Finland for how affordable that was.

Everything you have ever heard about taking care of a newborn baby is absolutely true. She (yes, girl) pukes (well, not that much actually and it's your fault anyway for feeding too quickly) and shits all over you (you learn to plan for good diaper tactics REAL fast, I tell you) and denies your sleep (thank god I chose a woman who I can negotiate shifts with) and still you can't help but love the lil bugger more than anything. Whew.
The art of being grown up, the dirty little secret nobody lets on about, is that it's all about getting comfortable with acting the part, and reaching that point where you stop giving a fuck, and do stuff that needs to be done, because it just needs doing, and ain't nobody else going to do it for you. -Mr. Tines

Jaunting around Hiroshima. I finally get this scene from Evangelion

Fuck me.

It's like stepping out into a solid wall of heat, dripping with humidity.

Getting off the plane in Tokyo was like 'slap'. Fuck me, it's warm here for October.
Osaka at the station. was a 'whack'. Fuck me, it's warm and humid.
Hiroshima was brutal today, with the tail end of a typhoon swinging over dumping gallons of rain on surprised tourists. (Whoever you were with the facecloth at Orizou Tower, you saved me....)

And dudes in full suits ambling around as if nothing was a problem.

And schoolgirls cheering when you're walking behind their massive multi-selfie, notice them and do the ultraman pose. Somewhere, some Hiroshima schoolgirl has a photograph of her friends and a solitary fat Irishman, dripping sweat.

They cheered? Why?

I want to go to Japan. :sniffle: I had the chance to go and visit a bunch of family there almost a decade ago. My great uncle even bought a bottle of sake to save for me once I was old enough, and now I'm old enough dammit! Spent a week on Okinawa (where most of my family is from) and a week just outside Tokyo. Dartz, if you think Hiroshima is humid, visit Okinawa if you can; it's something else. Have fun on your trip! Same to you, MuscleRobo.

This week I've been starting to tidy up the garden before putting it away for the winter, and while removing weeds that had grown through the layer of Hortag intended to suppress such unwanted activity, I found that many of them were actually lavender seedlings, which I've rescued for later planting out:

So, not only have I been able to find the time this year to do a better level of garden maintenance than I have in previous years, I've actually got more ammunition for my maintenance easing master-plan, which is to crowd out the unwanted plants (weeds) in the garden with self-propagated offspring of plants which are generally wanted (pretty weeds).

World of Tanks console version is adding the Japanese heavy tank line tomorrow morning, a new Senran Kagura game is being developed for PS4 from the ground up instead of being downgraded so it can also run on the Vita, and to top it all off, Bethesda has announced that Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition for PS4 will both be getting mod support after all! Bethesda even said that PS4 users will be able to use the Skyrim creation kit to make their own mods right on the console! Hopefully they do the same for Fallout 4.

It's a good day to be a PS4 gamer. RML.

I got to see Devin Townsend in concert last night! This was my third time seeing him, and each time is a blast. Guy has a real great sense of humor on stage, and isn't afraid of a little self-deprecation. The pit by the stage was VIP only, but during the second set one of the guards stepped away to handle a crowd surfer and I seized my opportunity, managing to get in the middle real close to the front of the stage. It was somebody's birthday, and when Devy offered to sing for him, a bunch of other people said it was their birthday too, so Devy was like "okay, for everybody's birthday it is, we're going to use the term 'Fernando' to collectively refer to all of you. Ready?" It was awesome.

Ah yeah.

If anyone else is making the trip, I cannot recommend the ryokan we stayed in highly in. The staff at Hakone Miyamafurin were beyond exceptional, patient and tolerant of us despite us arriving in the dark, dirty and sweaty after a long journey. Also. The rooms are brilliantly appointed. Comfortable. Fresh and new.

Also. Onsen. Perfect end to a long day. And yes, we did do them right..... public bath was fine and cozy. Too easy to stay in for too long.

Took the trip up the Hakone-Tozan to Gora,to the cablecar and ropeway up to Owakudani, then on down to Togendai to catch the siteseeing cruise. Bus back to Hakone-Yumoto, then train again up to Kowakidani to complete the loop (With a bit of an up-hill walk). Weather was a bit close going over the top, as where the trees, so no Mount Fuji views, but so it goes.

I'm in Tokyo at the moment.

So's this Badboy.....
