I bought these awesome heat sinks from Digikey. Dirt cheap, high thermal conductivity (something like 2.3C/W, fucking incredible for TO-220 package heat sinks). The only thing is, they have these steel pegs on the bottom that are impossible to remove. The pegs are too big for the boards that I use and aren't at the right spacing in relation to transistor's legs. So, the heat sink won't be flush to the board.
I'll have to figure something out about removing them, sawing them off, or something. If they were Aluminium, it would be easy, because it is so soft. I don't own an angle grinder and none of my dremel wheels can cut steel.
