Witnessed a fight of more than 30 drunken idiots. I have no idea what happened, but I sure was terrified by all the animalistic energy.

^ Nah, filming it would've been a better idea. Haven't seen a good drunk fight in a while.

That pretty much defines my way of life. I don't enjoy it but it's the only way to get a reaction out of some people these days.

Peel off the other letters and rearrange them to say "ASSMUNG". Enjoy the incredulous stares of your peers.

I have a scientific calculator with the letters "S.V.P.A.M" on the top (I assume it's the brand or model name). I used a pencil to cover the V.

It seems that I accidentally purchased two copies of Ponyo, the other day, and just now noticed. They've shipped, so there's not a whole lot I can do.

Does anyone want a copy of Ponyo? It's the German dub, mind you.

^ That was...indeed quite amusing. If I could locate my first few posts in the Eva community, it would have probably looked not all that dissimilar (though I can't do that, seeing as DS never archived anything from the old forums, which is now years-dead and gone). Moral of the story: you post often enough, you learn what is and what is not right to shout into the vacuum that is the internet.

Today at work, we received a package from my company's warehouse in upstate New York. It was fully complete, 3D puzzle of the Eiffel Tower standing at a height around 3 1/2 feet. We have no idea why this was sent to us.

Ahh, but what part of New York do you consider "Upstate"? (See number 10)

That does sound like an interesting delivery though. Maybe it was meant for another company?

I'm backing up my boss's Win8 box before I perform a repair of Windows on it. Just in case shit hits the fan. I'm doing a mirror of the disk on a live Ubuntu (I prefer to use dd). Because of how important this data is, I can't fuck it up. I mounted the drive I was copying from just to make sure everything was ducky.

[code:1]sudo dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=16M[/code:1]

I checked over that code, like, 15 times. If I had transposed the "b" and the "a" in "sda" and "sdb", I would have lost my job, because I would have clobbered his drive at 150 MiB/sec.

It's strange having your job rest on two characters.

It's in Champlain right along the Canadian border. Can't get more upstate than that. And regarding that link, those cider donuts look good.

Was just randomly walking around in a used books store and some kid a few years younger than me just came up to me and glared at me like he wanted to kill me. I don't know why but it seriously freaked me out. It doesn't sound very major but to me it felt extremely unsettling and frightening. Urgh.
