Hand-painted Cellu Club Cels

Hey everyone. I'm a fan of Evangelion but not as big as I used to be. I'm moving soon and hoping to put together some funds as a buffer between moving costs and so forth, so I've decided to sell some of my animation cels to people who will probably appreciate them more than me.

Pardon the case's condition, it has been lamenting in my closet for ten years. I'll clean it up before I send them anywhere (they share a case however.) Cels are in perfect condition, despite the case being musty/dirty. I'd prefer to sell them as a set but will split them up if need be. I also only take paypal, if that helps.

I'm not sure what these retail for, but I would like at least $150-$200 a piece for them since I paid quite a bit for them as it was back in the day. I'll take offers, however.

Here are pictures... I mosaiced out the price since I am not asking what I paid and it is more than that. It'd be nice, not going to lie, but that's a long shot in the dark.

Damn, I'd sure love to get my hands on those. Unfortunately, I wouldn't be able to offer enough money for them and I wouldn't feel right asking for anything less than they're worth. Hopefully you'll find a good home for them.

They're animation cells used during the production of NGE.

Yes, they were painted by hand. You can sort of tell if you look at the detail pictures but admittedly my camera does not take good macro shots. They aren't "production" cels persay, but very, very limited edition reproduction pieces that the Cellu Club sold. They are done like normal "cels" were back in the day, transparent plastic "paper" with the pictures painted on.

Unlike production cels, though, they saw much less wear-and-tear (which is a plus), but they also do not come with the "sketches" that sometimes accompany actual production cels.

I saw the link for these the other day, and they look fantastic. I would really love to buy them but I can't justify spending that much money on prints without seeing them first-hand first, which I am unable to do because I live very, very far away.
Anyway, if I were you, I would really reconsider selling those, as they are really really cool.

Not much into anime at all anymore, which is why they'd be best in someone else's hands? Haven't enjoyed a series in 3+ years. :(

Hello fellow Minnesotan! Some days I think I'm the only one on here.

In the unlikely event someone from here doesn't want to pick up those cels, you might want to see if Tomodachi in the Rosedale Center mall might be willing to take them on consignment. About 9 months ago someone did that with their whole NGE collection, and it was apparently all sold in just a few days (I never got to see any of what was for sale, despite the fact I check out that store pretty much every week).
