I haven't been this hyped for a movie since I was a kid. I wasn't even this hyped for either of the two Iron Man movies I saw in theaters, which were the last movies I actually wanted to see enough to see in theaters. I wasn't even this hyped for Cloverfield, which is obviously comparable. (Or, wait, did that come out later than the first two Iron Mans?)
I want to keep watching clips, but at this point I worry I'll spoil too much of the movie for myself, especially because I usually go into movies as blind as possible. The point where I felt like my clip-watching had reached critical mass was
the sight of a nuclear explosion in one of the trailers. Shit! I sure hope that wasn't spoiling the ending. I think I saw someone say that it's the mutos they're trying to nuke, but, just knowing that nukes are employed feels like a big spoiler, because that's a level I've never seen a monster movie actually go to. Not that I've seen a huge amount of monster movies.
Argh, but all these juicy tidbits are so hard to resist.

Godzilla 2014 currently has a score of 9.1 on IMDB. I know its early but if it keeps up at this rate godzilla 2014 would have a higher rating than The Dark Knight and pretty much almost every movie ever made. O and fuck you IMDB your score for NGE is too low, theres no way DBZ is better than NGE.

IMDB is certainly no source of coherent film rankings, as far as I’m concern. Since it’s used by people who have a limited film viewing experience, really good ivies that have withstood the test of time for film critics and filmmakers alike tend to be overlooked, whereas the movies made within the past 5 years will always tend to be higher ranked by its users. (I’ll bet you anything TDK had a higher IMDB ranking in the years 2008 - 2010 than it does now.)
