Anyone see it? http://www.siff.net/festival/film/detail.aspx?id=27586&FID=64
If its been show/seen elsewhere, as subtitled, which translation & how good? Any clues about R1 DVD licensees?

This doesn't deserve a new thread, but 1.0 is currently being shown at HIFF, and I went to see the Saturday's screening. The movie was actually better than I had dared to expect, and the English subtitles were really good too, although I have no idea who the translator was.
Funnily enough, almost everyone left the theater during the closing credits and thus missed the "next episode" preview.

The German showing was, as far as I could tell. Subs were good, but not perfect (though the biggest thing I noticed was just Shinji talking about his teachers instead of one. And in the scene with PenPen, Misato says that {hotspring penguins} were more common 15 years ago, while the other sub I've seen have her say that she had him for 15 years - but with that part being only in the movie it's hard to tell (for me) which one's more accurate.)Sailor Star Dust wrote:I'm wondering if all these Rebuild 1.0 showings used the subtitles from that Pusan(sp) film festival or not? From the clips I saw of that awhile back, the subs were really accurate.
