The viz release I will receive soon will be so disappointing in comparison...

I own both the Japanese LE and the Viz Media edition, and the Viz Media printing is nothing in comparison to the Japanese version. I wasn't disappointed as I expected a standard Viz Media release, but yeah the level of quality is way lower than the Japanese release.

Though for an English release it's quick and it does what it sets out to do and that's all I want. So way to go Viz.

Skimming through the manga the second time around, I'm really struck at how the events play out somewhat differently. Trying not to give too much of a spoiler here, but Shinji is really badass in this one. Must be the first time I had a really positive impression of the guy. (Two words: Harpy fight.)

Oh, and we can 'hear' Gendo perfectly fine here. Nudge nudge. ;)

FYI previous STAGE.90 / face to face part 2 was combined with STAGE.89, so the original STAGE.91 was renumbered 90 and we are now counting from there.

I believe the next stage is already set to be released in the January issue of Young Ace (which will be STAGE.93).

FYI previous STAGE.90 / face to face part 2 was combined with STAGE.89, so the original STAGE.91 was renumbered 90 and we are now counting from there.

However, volume 13 ends with 90 in the Japanese printing and 91 in the Viz printing - so the confusion is now made permanent.

Chapter starts with winged Lilith cupping the Black Moon and Shinji plunged in some sort of dreamscape, wherein-

- He sees banks (yes, as in groups of fish) of people/souls floating around.
- Walls of text (literally - I pity the scanlators who will have to translate all those bubbles XD)
- Memories of his life and people he's met

Chapter ends with Shinji being straddled by Rei/Lilith in the sea of LCL, with her hands embedded in his chest

As I'm on a sabbatical due to real life developments, you will not find the raw at THAT OTHER board. I'm trying to take a break from all this nonstop raw-hunting and reuploading.

So we're already at the "LCL no Umi" scene, that was fast, I wanted to see drawn live action scenes! More seriously, this could end in 2 or 3 chapters if he doesn't plan to introduce something of new.

Damn, all those words.... That sequence is at least a nice way of demonstrating the mindfuckness of Instrumentality in manga-form (breakup lines, live action sequence).

Really wondering where the manga will go from here. Hopefully Sadamoto includes more of his own twists and thoughts next Stage onward instead of mainly sticking with EoE.

And ending at Stage 100 was just speculation, but it would be nice, I think.

生命の海【前編】 should be more or less translatable as Sea of Life [First Part], it's quite possible that this chapter will get merged with the next one when they'll release the next tonkabon.

I would like to mention that I've uploaded on THAT BOARD the scans from Share which are a little better looking, they could be especially useful for interested scanlators.
