I'm 6'5 and I have to buy my pants online because no retailers have my size, hotel and dorm beds aren't long enough for me to fit, I have to bend down to use showers, everyone constantly mentions how tall you are, you have a shorter life expectancy due to circulatory problems, and its tough to find a car you feel comfortable driving. I'd love to be 3' shorter.

Oh, and I don't even consider dating someone unless they're at least 5'7.

I'm the tallest person in my family. But at the same time, I'm shorter than a lot of people my age at school...so I don't really know whether I'd be considered the 'right' height or not.

At the very least I hope I can maintain a slim-ish build into adulthood and not balloon out massively which is what seems to happen to most Asian males of advancing years.

At 5' 10", I found I was almost the shortest person in my year at college, unable to see across the room at any of the welcoming dos -- fortunately there was a Welshman amongst the intake who spared me the indignity of actually being the shortest.

Most of the girls I got involved with were about 5'4", with an "almost but not quite" at 4' 11" (bracketing, as it happens, my mother's height). Surprisingly I ended up marrying a woman the same height as me, when a more easily portable model would have been a lot simpler to deal with.
