Immortal Grand Prix, Megas XLR and Big Guy and Rusty the boy robot had two seasons. Voltron: Legendary Defender had 8.

And while it hasn't shined in TV or films much, Battletech is a clear institution in gaming.

I'm hesitant to count IGPX as a Western series, since so much of its creative input was Japanese. And while Voltron: Legendary Defender may be American in origin, the Voltron franchise as a whole is not.
