Evangelion 2.22 question : (SPOILERS!)

I posted this on another forum too, but it seems to be dead. I was wondering, after the credits you see some sort of Lance going through Eva Unit 01. I was wondering, is this just a lance or the Lance of Longinus? Because the end of that lance is different from the Lance of Longinus. Im a bit confused by this, maybe someone knows?
