Try it again i just fixed it. As for the image thats the project itself. I mailed it to Xero so he can work on it over the next 6 weeks whilst I'm away. If anybody needs to ask me something post here.

Yeah no problem. I will be around for a few more hours before I shut everything down and chuck sheets over it all. At least its only 6 weeks this time and not 6 months. Ill post some pics up in 3 or 4 weeks before we get back. After I return though I should be back for about 6 to 9 months before my next outing.

Its hard trying to finish this when I’m moving around so much lol I only spent 50 days in Sydney last year but at least we can say this project has been all over the world (well just about). Its been to Vanuatu, Singapore, Thailand the USA and its home in the Land Down Under

Regards all thanks for the support

One question since I just remembered: Will the Vent server be up while you're gone or is that gonna be shut down for the time being?

I rented it through a proper hosting service so it never shuts down unless its going to do an automated restart. But that should only take a few mins at the most.

Wanted to give people some updates on what has been going on. It looks like i'll be acquiring some new video editing software at the end of the month, So I'm taking a small break on the actual editing process, might throw in some sample footage soon though

Edit-Actually put up said sample material I wanted to show off:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LN-tIOHbpbI

This clip is at a much lower quality as to allow for an easy youtube upload and is also NOT complete quite yet.

I need two voice samples

Crimsonskyxiii: I need maya exclaiming the horror of Asuka being torn to shreds. Lines are:

"Shinji!
Shinji!
Asuka… Asuka is… oh god Asuka…"

don't worry about the intercom effect, can replicate it so long as I have a clean voice sample. Refer to end's dub if you need some direction, dub's maya does a good job with it.

Shiro: I need Shinji responding in kind about how he can do nothing about the situation, lines are:

"Even if I wanted to…
I can’t Pilot it…
The Eva…
It’s no use…"

Obviously going for quiet, sad and dejected. Also shiro, if you want to try throwing me a few bloodcurdling screams, I'm always down for em.

Everybody else, just tell me how I'm doing so far. Music? Sound FX? Title cards? etc. All input is helpful!

Are your average Japanese really going to be incorporating references to God in their syntax like this? Unless the Japanese here slipped in a "kami-sama" or something...

Hmmmmm. As an english dub, I have an aversion to using suffixes like san, kun or sama in this case, I feel they sound unnatural when used in a sentence made up in english. The script for this part goes off the Manga entertainment dub for the scene, and I know that isn't the best source ever for this kind of thing.

I'm not exactly sure what an equivalent response for the Japanese would be at the sight of unit 02 being eviscerated. Open to suggestions

I'm gonna go out on a limb and present a little thing that I have been working on along side of my Contests.

The following is an audio only trailer. I wrote a short script with the intention of giving people a teaser into what ReTake is about without exactly summarizing it. I did the voice work myself of course, acting in a way I felt was natural for the context, and the music was ripped from the ReTake OST.

I would like to hear what everyone thinks about it. After doing this, I felt like I could have used some help with sound editing, thus why I asked to see if there was anyone out there who was proficient in it. I'm also working on the voice: it's not really my Fuyutsuki voice but I'm trying to work at finding a niche that works for me. When I presented this to Xero, he mentioned that the script was a bit wordy and my voice was a bit too nasal, and I agree. What does everyone else think?

ReTake Audio Trailer

Note: if either Zeak or Xero think it would be best if I took this link down, I apologize in advance and would promptly do so.

Xero: I think Reichu's point was, use the translations from the movie transcripts on http://evacommentary.org/ 's main page http://evacommentary.org/misc-files/transcripts_fansubs_v2.zip as opposed to using the crappy English Mangle dub. My recommendation: The A2000A FANSUB Subtitle Script for Episode 25' and 26' seems one of the most accurate translations fansub wise.

ChowWow: Awesome job, I loved it! ^_^ Your voice is somewhat deep, but that's not a bad thing necessarily. The only thing suggestion is for the "for more information" link at the end, maybe give the url of Zeak's ReTake site instead of Zeak's main site. Just a thought.

Much thanks for the link SSD. I'm totally down with dropping the "oh god" part for better sense of continuity, really I'd just like to get somebody to read off the lines. Should look more like:

"IBUKI (RADIO - OFF):
Shinji! Unit 02...
Asuka is...! Asuka is...!"

I'll try to get my lines in.
I'm going to practice a bit although I don't think my voice(or a certain voice) will match Makoto well.

But I'll work on it and see if it fits.
