Best Asuka/Rei figures to get.

Postby Grimmjow » Mon Feb 07, 2011 6:18 pm

So I want to buy a posable Rei and Asuka. Which ones are the best to get? Is there any difference in accessories between the bandaged Rei Fraulein and the regular Rei? What about teh Asuka slutsuit and the regular Asuka?

Which ones are the best quality?

The difference between Bandaged Rei and regular Rei, is that one comes with a blue lance the other a red lance. Also bandaged Rei has slightly more artculation. I would recommend getting neither one and just wait for Figma Rei to come out. That figure also comes with the plug seat like Figma Mari and Asuka.

Also Asuka slutsuit Figma is better in overall quality. Revoltech regular Asuka has been known to have terrible articulation and arms and legs that fall off often...... The Revoltech Frauelein Rei figures also have the same problem. Both bandaged versions and regular versions have arms and legs that fall off often.....

Get the figmas if you want reliable good articulated figures of Rei, Asuka etc....

Yeah the Figma's are far superior to the Revoltech's IMO. I have a few of the older Fraulein Revoltech's and wile there ok they are nowhere close to the quality the Figma's are. I have some the 12" Medicom figures coming next week so hopefully those are ok as well, but there expensive though.

Buy the Figmas. They're less likely to break than the Fraulein Revoltechs. The slutsuit Asuka figma is on sale now, and Rei will be released at the end of the month. You can order them both from AmiAmi.

i had some of the 12" , 1st version n the new ones, IMO they'r all perfect, interchangeable with other 12" costumes too, u won't regret buying em,
but they'r expensive.
Highly recommends figmas, it's small but lots of accesories, variety of facial expression, and the face sculpting is better than revo, they'r more anime like.
Yea...

Well the older revo Asuka and Rei suck but the 2.0 versions do not suck and are way better and dont fall apart.I own both figma Asuka and 2.0 revo Asuka and other then the more detailed faces and entry plug the 2.0 Asuka is better imo plus theres the normal plugsuit version in the 2.0 design......oh and theres no hover boob action with the newer revo version too.....
Internet elitists suck,ya you know who you are.

I'd recommend the figmas, the face sculpt is excellent and pretty dead accurate as far as figurines go. Max Factory also has the female body w/articulation down very well.

The Medicom 12" figures can be pretty restrictive as far as posing goes, since the suit causes the figures to flex back into position.

I don't have the 2.0 versions of the frauleins, but some of the face sculpts just look too 'Moe' to me.

NERV VTOL getting a plastic kit from Kotobukiya

Postby TMBounty_Hunter » Fri Mar 11, 2011 7:13 pm

For over a decade if you wanted to have a model kit of the NERV/UN VTOL you had two choices:

-Either hunt down the horribly rare and ridiculously priced resin kit from 1997:
http://www.hlj.com/product/KBYEV-22

-Or just scratch build it.

But now Kotobukiya will be releaseing a plastic injection kit for cheapo mass production.

Tentative Fall release date, no price yet.

Cool!
I didn't knew that there were already models of any battleship!
Maybe I'll snatch one...
They would look very good in many pics for my blog :liplick:
But... What the heck is an "injection model"?

I think it has to do with the manufacturing process.

So you don't have to "inject" anything to make the pieces rigth?
The last thing I want is a model that besides to need to be painted and assembled needs to be made yourself...

correct injection molding is just how they make the plastic pieces, for a more detailed explanation try here
