Bout as good as I expected them to look. Slightly grainier than I expected, but I'll take it.

The resolution and encoding is too shit to judge grain.

That's what I was thinking. I was like, if you can see grain in those spots you need your eyes checked!

The site could also be using the DVD masters as opposed to the BD ones.
I finally put something here!

Someone has posted all 4 trailers on YouTube, albeit in [s]480p[/s] 360p and using rather poor-quality settings. If they have been taken down by the time you read this, I'll verbally illustrate them for you.

Each of the 4 trailers is exactly 15 seconds long, and shows a single contiguous scene with no jump-cuts. At the 14 second mark, the video (but not the audio) cuts out and is replaced by the telop screen below:

Image
"Neon Genesis Evangelion Blu-ray BOX
On Sale August 26, 2015 (Wednesday)
Neon Genesis Evangelion TV Broadcast Editon DVD BOX On Sale The Same Day"

Here's the scenes in question:

Type-A: Eva-02 hopping between aircraft carriers and throwing off the "cape" it was hidden under.
Type-B: Misato and Ritsuko looking on as Eva-01 eats Zeruel's S² Engine.
Type-C: Eva-01's hand grabbing Kaworu in Terminal Dogma, with the "squish" coinciding with the telop screen at the 14 second mark.
Type-EX: Asuka in Eva-02 fighting the JSSDF helicopters.

There's absolutely nothing in these trailers that we haven't seen before, so we're really not missing out here.

Well unless that level of quality was released in a past set for NGE, it does look noticeably better. But as it seems we won't be able to tell until someone gets their hands on it.

I'm seeing them as 360p.

You're right, sorry about that. When I downloaded them (using keepvid.com) I only truly paid attention to the 640 pixel width and then my brain just auto-piloted from there. Spent way too much time with 640x480 videos back in the day, forgot that these trailers were widescreen.

Either way, it's not like any important information is lost by going that far down the resolution ladder in this case...

I'm not seeing anything at all. The account has been terminated in the grounds of copyright infringement.

I just watched them in 480p, channel is still there. Kind of hard to really say anything about the quality when it's just 480p. Comparing the EoE clip to the copy on my hard drive, the colours look a bit better but not much else really. Oh glorious 480p  Guess we're going to have to wait until someone has it or a 1080p trailer/clip.

The glorious 480p is actually 360p as noted above.

I think it looks better than the Platinum set, but I'm not entirely sure.

The EoE screenshots look like they were taken from the Feature Films DVD, but made crappier. No hype here.

They're 260p vs. 1080p and they're copies of copies to boot. They tell us nothing about the final product.

Hopefully it's this because otherwise it looks really bad.

I don't understand why they haven't released comparison screenshots by now. Better wait for the reviews.

The color on the BD looks better, and it probably looks much sharper when not capped at 360p

Of course it looks better than SEELE-01's Vaseline edition. As I said, it looks like it could easily be downsized from the remastered Feature Film DVD.

Yes! It seem like this needs to be the course of action for everyone. I would imagine that the 360p cap doesn't do the Blu-Ray justice. Why the video isn't of a higher quality when it easily could be is beyond me.

But it at least seems that it will be slightly better than the newer of the releases(which is still a good 10+ years old).

I personally am using this as a way to own the complete NGE set. Because it seems to much like a pain to sort through the older sets and knowing and not knowing what to get. Also bootlegs...
