For everyone's information, this didn't work out because Nuke was a several hours' drive away and the time window available would have required me to get up way early for me.

Meeting in DC wouldn't have worked out either because I was busy every minute of every day there with my cousin's wedding and related activities.

Aww, Nuke, too bad you didn't PM Zap or me in advance! We met up with Ornette last October (was a blast, a few days before my birthday, too).

If you had a chance to notice it at all, what did you think of Houston, besides the heat? -o-; In my 1 year of living in Texas, I've noticed October to April are the best times to visit. All bets are off if you're visiting June to September. (Honestly, I think as long as you have plenty of water on-hand and have the A/C blasting, the summer's fine. I prefer the Southern heat to the Northeast winters for sure!)

Edit: Yes, that's an awesome username. Welcome! :D

Well, considering that I was in Houston for three minutes inside an airport because my plane got in late (talk about brief!) I didn't get to notice the heat all that much. However, I did travel through Texas a while back on a roadtrip- and damn, was it hot! It was nice and dry though, so it could have been much worse.

Welcome to the forum Tes Hayami. There's a typo in your interests section of your profile. May I ask what TeS means?

Thanks for the heads up! When I clicked to register it threw me for a loop a couple times saying I needed to add more information before continuing, so I just typed the quickest stuff that came to mind rather too fast I suppose. :um:

There's really no meaning at all. I guess it's just a random name I created while trying to sign up too quickly... -o-;

Hey everybody! I've been lurking in some of your threads the last couple of days, so I thought I might as well join.

I've become strangely obsessed with evangelion lately. I first watched evangelion when I was 16 or 17. I really liked the atmosphere and the characters, but I was mostly just confused towards the end, didn't really know how to react. Now at 22 I decided to watch the rebuilds, I was sort of mixed; they're gorgeous but they lack the atmosphere which made me love NGE in the first place.

Now I'm rewatching neon genesis and I'm sort of obsessing about it for some weird reason. I really spend a strangely big portion of my time thinking about it. I've really enjoyed some discussions/theories I've read here and on the wiki. I think maybe the appeal in Eva is that ellusive quality that makes it so fun to obsess over. It's "nerd friendly".

Anyways, hi.
(Also I'm not a native english speaker so my choice of words and idioms may come off as a bit awkward.)

^ Welcome! Don't worry about tripping over language - it's clear that your English is pretty good; and there are a good number of non-native users here anyway, so we're used to that.

Yes, there's a fairly strong divide between those who think that the new films are good and those who are not so sure; the fact that they're not finished yet obscures things, of course, as there is much that is unclear until Final will explain things (we hope!!!).

Your choice of Touji for an avatar will go down well also, I suspect.

Hello, have a nice stay! And don't wordy, if the community managed to understand me, I think you'll be fine with your handling of English, Meerkat. :)

I really don't know what should I say here.. so let's just say that I decide to register after lurking in this forum for a while (mostly at Shinji Ikari raising project game thread) which makes me become interested in that game and to lesser extent the evangelion itself (even though I never watch anykind of eva material whatsoever, although I do know some of things such as the angels, the mechas, etc mostly from Z3 game).. So, nice to meet u all... I suppose

Hey everybody.

I first watched NGE in high school and while I did enjoy it, I didn't understand much of it. I had always intended on re-watching it but I didn't get around to it until just a couple months ago. The show really hit me the second time around. I quickly became obsessed with it. I immediately watched EoE and the Rebuild movies and I've since rewatched the series again. This show is a masterpiece as far as I'm concerned. This forum provided a lot of answers to questions I was having about the show (and especially EoE), so I figured it was a good idea to join.

Sorry for long introduction. Hi.

Hello! I know this wiki since many years, and now I would like to contribute with screenshots and images of Evangelion's series and movies. Anyway, I hope to be helpful!
