I loved how Rei was suddenly in the women's gossip circle hahaha that was one of the best parts, when they were all walking

Also, this is more the gallow's humor kind of funny but, did you spot that in the lab scene with the Rei clones, we're shown that Gendo kept a fucking picture?

So much for the graveside tough talk...

Would the universe have collapsed if he had let Shinji see it? He's got it on an electronic device, so he'd just have to send one(1) text message.

Mari using the top half of the Eiffel tower as a battering ram and apologising to it in French.

She's apologising to it's creator:

To me, it's more funny if she is apologizing to the inanimate tower. And to the target Japanese audience, at least, I think the unqualified "Eiffel" evokes the tower, rather than its creator (much like most people associate "Frankenstein" with the monster, not the doctor!)

At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if she was involved in the construction of the Wunder.

I laughed at Toji's glee in revealing to Shinji that he had married the class rep. The delivery is great in both the original Japanese and the English dub.

yeah, that's a really nice scene

The Mexican standoff had me absolutely cracking up because I couldn’t stop thinking about that SNL skit. The ridiculously hammy and on the nose dialogue, the gratuitous butt-shots of Sakura as she’s having this mental breakdown, and the overall lack of consequence (seriously, I was expecting Misato to die taking the bullet for Shinji, literally and metaphorically “dying for his sins”), and the over the top melodrama of what I assume they must have intended to be an impactful and emotional scene combine to create something unintentionally hilarious.

Honestly, I think it’s one of the worst scenes in the movie. But damn did it make me laugh.

The entriety of Non Non BiyoRei in the country side.

Not something actually in the movie, but when Eva Imaginary emerged from the gates and it's mask began to slide off for second I thought we were really about to get Giant Naked Gendo.

I think I may have blinked a couple of times wondering if I actually saw that, THEN I chuckled.
who doesn't want to kick back with Misato and have a few beers?

The overall quality of the second part was pretty funny.

Yeah, it was super cringe. I did laugh at Kitakami's "Nasshingu" ("nothing" used as an unconventional loanword, meaning "this ain't it!") when expressing her dismay at Shinji being let back on board. And followed by "Like this water ration (which you don't know whose pee it used to be)... They think as long as you're redeemed/purified, it's all good and forgotten!"

Mari using the eiffel tower to mess up the big gun.

Rei a lot of the times in the village, like getting the tub with her clothes on and the women going no you take your clothes off, falling over, touching her breasts.

Asuka tasering Shinji.

Mari going, I have big boobs.

Maya telling Midori to shut up. (Because I was thinking that during 3.33 please shut up, so it was so nice that someone was self-aware of this and made it happen) Like I get her characters problems but damn she is reckless and stupid. Sakura I could forgive for pulling the gun as her family is all alive in the village, they could all still die.

Joy to the world being the track for Misato's final scene for context over here in the UK that is a Christmas song only sung at xmas, so it's like Misato is going fuck you Gendo and here's your wrapped gift that's gonna fuck you up.
Anywhere can be paradise as long as you have the will to live. After all, you are alive, so you will always have the chance to be happy.

The incessant fan service never fails to crack me up,
The photorealistic head made me feel a lot of things - one of them being the need to chuckle,
The ladyfriends Rei was making.

The incessant fan service never fails to crack me up,

The sheer number of plugsuit-clad ass shots. I mean was it really necessary to have a shot from THAT angle of Sakura falling to her knees after winging Misato? I mean yeah dat ass is crazy stupid fine but there's a time and a place...

Also when Shinji says to Misato that he'll pilot Unit-01, it instantly cuts to X-face Eva turning as if to go "Say whaaaaaa?"

When Rei downshifted, her suit turned white. Later, when Mary and Asuka get their new white suits, Asuka says it's their funeral clothes.
