Ah, so the film did get delayed like I thought. If I had to make a wild guess, its new release window will coincide with 3.0's original late fall release
I think it's great the film's subtitle isn't in the same style as the prior three movies, but it still references them indirectly. After reading the initial speculations on this thread, I think there won't be time travel, the sci-fi book title probably fits in via other themes like the re-occurrence of events.
The poster is also very symbolic and captures the many themes of eva:
-the three train track paths all converging on Shinji (most likely his final decision will impact how everything plays out in the end)
-his intentional pose and distance in the picture being reminiscent of ghost Rei
-the afternoon time of day, implying finality
-the text that reads "bye evengelion" referencing EoE/Anno's conclusion with this series/or the fact that the evas will cease to exist at the end once again
-the single path leading beyond where Shinji is standing signifying life/time will continue moving forward regardless of what happens
-let's see if Shinji's 3rd impact will result in a better outcome for himself and the world
(or maybe not and it'll be another depressing ending like EOE)
