"Cochise" by Audioslave! I hadn't heard it in years and when I saw the music video, I was pumped *forgive the pun*.

OK now before I reveal the following song that keeps me energized, please note that I am reasonably sane and have a somewhat deep understanding of what qualifies as "great music" so don't shoot me for liking this one .

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
Can't believe it took me literally decades to get into Depeche Mode... In particular, "Enjoy the Silence" which they may have gone on record and said that Failure's cover of it is the best version around but I say different and lean more towards the original. As for Ki:Theory, I tried to give it a chance but it just came off like noise to me.
Speaking of Failure, "The Nurse Who Loved Me" which I had first heard through A Perfect Circle's cover is a frequent listen as well.

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
I've recently discovered that the daughter of Will Smith is a Pop Star.
Since then "Whip My Hair" is on repeat.
Same goes for "Bon Appetit" by Katie Perry. I love her new Sound.
I've recently listened to The Money Story by Death Grips again and again. It was very draining. But I love it.
The Opening of Mononoke, Kaze no Tsuki and Auvers Blue from Kemonozume are such nice Jazz-Pop tunes.
Also, a Nujabes playlist is on repeat. RIP

Re: [Music] Songs on repeat
For some reason, I've been listening to the infamous soundtrack for the originalDoom's SEGA 32X port. What's so infamous about it? Well, what I assume must have happened during production of the port is that whoever was in charge of the music took the MIDI files for Bobby Prince's original music for Doom, dumped them straight into the instruments that the 32X uses, and then put them into the game without bothering to check to see if they worked. And so, we went from music like this (the original version of At Doom's Gate) to music like this (the 32X version of At Doom's Gate).
It's a simply hilarious mangling of what is considered one of 90's gaming most iconic soundtracks, but I can't stop listening to it. I think one of the reasons for it is that I never really liked the original Doom music (the PS1 port's music was where it's at!), so I don't get quite so offended by this port's music like so many other people. But even then, there's a couple of areas that I really like, that could be isolated and turned into a pretty cool horror soundtrack:
On The Hunt (The opening chord and accompanying arpeggio could be refitted into a Splatterhouse throwback without much hassle)
Demons On The Prey (The opening works well as a quietly mysterious piece, while the bass melody and super-deep guitar chords has the potential to be an unsettling, atonal track for being stalked by an unknown monster)
Dark Halls (Awful bassline and drums aside, I really like the instrument used for the melody; some kind of square wave with an echo, I think? Anyway, I can totally imagine that melody, or the instrument, being used in the bottom of a dark cave full of mangled limbs)

Note: this shit is impossible to listen to with headphones on.
If you were then you deserve a medal.

This is weirdly hypnotic.

I listen to nearly everything with headphones on. When can I expect my medal in the post?

TWRP-ATOMIC Karate (feat. Arin Hanson)

"Ancient wisdom Arcane arts and martial prowess that will stop your hearts!"
This would be great for the soundtrack of the Lego Ninjago movie.
Seriously though, don't let their association with a comedy band turn you off. They make great Music. Ladyworld is probably their best album so far.
