And really, the computer is the only thing doing any work, Hyuga's nose is buried in some manga about a junior high girl who no doubt:
1) gets chosen to save the world
2) has magical adventures
3) never gets any trauma or stress from her quests
and 4) will fall in love with her best friend and become a schoolgirl lesbian.

It's a very common genre.

"Hey, Hyuga," you say.

He looks up. "Oh, hello, Shinji. How are you?"

"Good," you say. "Just a bit tired from..." He's looking away.

He hasn't really been looking at you, you realize. He's been staring beyond you, and whatever he was looking at moved. You follow his gaze.

Kaji is hugging Misato from behind.

Hyuga sighs and goes back to reading his manga.
