I'm not sure this is the right forum room, but I'll go on anyways.

Are you obsessed with Evangelion and is Evangelion obsession good, or unhealthy.

0.95 male(s)/female (2006 est.) ,If I did my math right, that's only 6680000 men (I'm pretty sure I did that wrong, that number seems too small), but that means about 1/7 men are obsessed with Rei just in Japan

Uhh, yes. Same with most of the other animes and their fans. I'd bet Anno would bitchslap at least 1/4 of EVA fans when he'd meet them and hear all the junk they've bought. And afterwards make facepalm :toothy:

You know, the article says they're obsessed with Rei Ayanami in particular, not NGE itself. They could just be thinking about her in a completely-detached-from-Evangelion sort of way.
