I recently came across a site where you could download a couple of those old-school hentai dating sims - the type where you are given 100 or so days to date some stereotypical girls and be "rewarded" with one or two hentai pictures in the end. While I'm not a great fan of this genre (mostly because it's so frigging ridicolus!), I downloaded one of them - an old game called "Season of Sakura" - to play when I feel bored.
Today was one of those days, so I played it. Once the title screen appeared, I noticed that some of the ten or so girls looked kinda familiar. Not that this is strange; It is a hentai game filled with with stereotypical girls after all.
Before I started to play this game from 1997, I chosed the "character intro" mode to find out a little more about the characters. After scrolling trough pictures and info of five or so remotely intresting girls, I got a major deja-vu moment:
Enter Ruri Shiromizu, an introverted, depressed rich girl who has been transferred to over 100 schools trough her entire life.
You could imagine my reaction when I saw the picture I linked to above. But this wasn't the end; it was just the beginning...
Aki Hinagiku is a fiery redhead whose special talents are tennis and roundhouse kicks.
Kyoko Kobayashi is the purple haired homeroom teacher of the game's protagonist, Shuji. Interests? Beer, sake and getting drunk.
Makoto Shimazaki is the local computer geek and - you won't believe this - military otaku. He's also into older women.
And as if this wasn't enough, one of the girls (who seems to be a Ritsuko wannabe, btw) has a younger brother whose name is Shinji Shinfuji.
Edit: 15 minutes into the game, and Makoto/Kensuke is already hitting on Kyoko/Misato. Who didn't see that one coming?

I detect Hikaru, Umi, and Fuu, from MKR in that pic, too...

Magic Knight Rayearth; the series that put CLAMP (X, Card Captor Sakura, Angelic Layer, etc) on the map...

20 minutes ito the game: This is actually getting pretty scary... (highlighted area)
Edit:After ten more minute's, Ruri/Rei arrive's at the scene, in very Rei-esque manner.
More Edit: Aki/Asuka strikes! It seems like she's been living in America, and got transferred to the protagonist's school one year ago.

Seconded. A crossover / self-insertion / hentai version of ep. #26 AU-sequence! When you get to the end credits, check out if the lead programmer's name happens to be P. B-----...
Well, to be fair I do assume gameplay-wise this thing owns most of the official NGE-games. And I can't decide if it should make me feel sad or amused.
So, no educated guesses about the identity of our mystery chick? Oh darn it, it seems I have to go and bug John and his minions.

Well, I'm done with the game now. Some more things a noticed while playing it:
- I guess it didn't come as a suprise that Aki/Asuka's lines consisted mostly of "Anta baka?!" and variations of it.
- Kyoko/Misato "put the moves" on a kid after all. In the name of 'education', none the less.
Btw, the game engine is supid. When December 24 came around and I had to chose which girl I really loved (Aki/Asuka in my case, of course), I had to pick the name from a list. When I picked Aki/Asuka, she dumped me. So I picked another. That girl dumped me too. So I chose another, who also dumped me etc, etc. So I ended up getting married with my least favorite girl. Fate likes being cruel to poor swedes like me, I guess.
Edit: Oh, I forgot that the protagonist's parents owned an electronics store. There was a Rei poster on the wall, and one of the products in the store was a "Pen^3 Refrigerator" computer chassis.
