I'd forgotten about wonderfest, sweet that'll keep me for a bit. I wonder if the mark 6 will get a look in seeing as how briefly it featured in the movie. Perhaps now is the the time to finally pick Evo mark 6. Hmmm?

This was probably already posted elsewhere but for what it's worth:

http://www.goodsmile.info/product/en/3549/figma+Giant+Warrior.html

http://www.goodsmile.info/product/en/3548/Giant+Warrior+Statue+Replica.html

Since A Giant Warrior Descends on Tokyo was shown before 3.0 and all.

I'd assume we'll get some 3.0 Figma, but it makes me wonder if it'd be of the 3 *nami girls again or some Kaworu and Shinji Figma too. (Plugsuits I'd assume?)

I'm probably the only guy around these parts to own this figure. I got it from a Japanese dealer shortly after the museum exhibition ended. And now they seem to be showing the short film again with 3.0. Makes sense though what with Anno involvement etc. It is an amazing figure to add to your collection!!

Anyways I have a "detailed" figure review up on this website:

https://www.gforever.net/reviews/19-figurereviews/78-figma-giant-warrior-review

Very picture heavy and have some comparisons with Eva in it too. Enjoy.

SPOILER: Show

Eva 02 beta (corrected version)
Eva 02 gamma
Eva 08 alpha
Eva 08 beta
Mark VI
Eva 09
Eva 13
Eva 13 with 4 arms
The AAA thing... How big is it anyways? (don't answer me!)
I think I saw a Beast Eva in one of the trailers...

That's a lot... I don't think I'll be coming back to this thread until after I've seen the movie... That last trailer posted gave me a few insights I didn't wanted XD

Ya it is a lot, luckily Eva 09 and 13 are basically redesigns of 00 and 01. And I really don't have the money for several slightly altered 02s. So Eva 08 is all i'm really concerned with, heres hoping wonderfest delivers!

Wait... That's how Revoltech makes money with Eva!
You can't refuse their advances!
You gotta catch them all!

BTW, for those who already know what happens in 3.0, a couple of questions (please answer as spoiler-free as possible)
SPOILER: Show

-Does Mark 6 do something?
-Do they even mention Evas 07, 10, 11 or 12?

I just remembered I had the original Asuka Revoltech figure in my closet, I was ecstatic and popped that baby open for a pose and guess what my lads? The elbow popped off easy when moving her arm and I can get it back on but it just pops off so easily. Is there anything I can do to fix this? Should I add superglue to the peg and let it dry? Any help would be welcomed, I may just get the updated 2.0 Asuka revoltech but I am already attached to this one and would like to fix it.

You know you are not supposed to "help" someone out of the closet you now?
They come out when they're ready and secure with their sexuality and...

Well.. I've never had a Fraülein figure before... If you glues it, won't the joint become, well... Unmovable?
You could try making the peg that goes in the joint bigger with layers of glue... I recall someone having that problem with an Eva 01 RD and putting a tiny piece of rubber to make pressure...
How exactly do the joints look like? Pics?
Maybe then I could help you better...

Heres a good pic of the joint, I think ii'll put super glue on the peg and let it harden before reconnecting it to the elbow.
You're probably talking about the Revoltech of Eva 02 (in any case the only figure I've seen of such)

You can watch a review of that figure at my Youtube

Is this version of Eva 02 seen in the movie ?, because i have seen some people saying that the scene in which this Eva is shown was redone for the movie :S

No, it's not screen accurate... I guess we won't be seeing a corrected one (and all the other Evas) until January...

Yeah the Winter Wonderfest sounds like a good time for Kaiyodo to show off their new Evas from 3.0. I still wish Bandia would make more Robot Tamashi Evas though....

So, I picked one of these up on my second last day in Japan:

Image
It looked absolutely amazing on display and had to have it on my bookshelf. I haven't built a model kit in years, but I made the Zero one (from the Mega Man Zero series) I bought as well today and it went really well.

I'm going to build it next weekend, or maybe during one of my days off during the week. Just have to see what my workload looks like... Pretty excited though, hehe. Will help keep me tied over until the RAHs arrive, if only for a moment.

I still haven't bought any of the NME Bandai kits yet (I have all of the old ones cept Sachi and the 2nd Harpy).
I think I'll have to wait till I have money again.

How sturdy are these kits supposed to be once completed? I'm guessing not very?

I dont know if they improved onthe new eva one (that comes with at field) and mark 6, but the old eva zero was sloppy and would disconet parts all the time, same but not as bad was eva 02, but really unit 00 was the worse, just look for review for it on youtube, i have not found a single review whose figure didnt "break" while they were either reviewing it or putting it toguether.

There, a reason for not trusting the "cool art" on the boxes...
Mine's thigh articulation separated from the zones where it holds itself to the 2 pieces of the upper leg... It now requires permanent umbilical cable support or it'll fall...

Well the Evas only last for 5 minutes without the umbilical cable anyway, so you might as well just keep it plugged in all the time. XD

I stick to non-posable figurines because they're much cheaper and easier to handle, but that's just me. I have an Asuka, a Rei and an Eva-01, each costing less than $10. The cheapest I've seen posable figures go for is $35 I think.
