The vessel is a Adam/Lilim hybrid conceived as a result of the Contact Experiment, into which Adam's soul was later 'salvaged'. Why shouldn't they count it as an "Angel" if they want to? ;;p


WEll the problem with that is that Rei is NOT considered an Angel, but she is essentially the same thing.

It's probably because Seele didn't know who Rei was, and Seele was probably the ones doing the naming and numbering.

The exact relationship between what the FAR actually wrote and what is in Seele's "scenario" is pretty ambiguous.

I don't think the names of Judaic angels are going to be mentioned anywhere in the scrolls, though.

She wouldn't be dumped at the end of a procession of "those born from Adam", certainly.

Rei just seems to be a vessel having Yui's genes and, at least for Rei 2 and up, made of "Lilith stuff". If she needs to be an "Angel", too, then we need to start thinking about what numbers to give the Evas.
