However, lacking any data whatsoever on how Adam produced the Angels, we'll never know what, if anything, the Angels are. Still, following the precedent Yoshitoh Asari set in Angel Kiss, and drawing from a silly forum thread I created a while back (“If you had to categorize the individual angels as being either male or female, which would each be and why?”), Angelic genders will be assigned for the sheer hell of it. [Oftentimes, these are based on “classical” male/female associations; you can get a general briefer here.] Unlike the SoLs and the Evas, I really am not terribly serious about any of these “designations”

While I agree with Reichu on several points she makes it's somewhat insane to agree on absolutely everything she says just because it's her (not that I have absolutely anything against Reichu), especially in cases like this when she herself seems to point out she's not being too serious about it, I also generally find myself disagreeing with the notion that Evas are female (at least physically) and with the idea of giving the Angels any specific gender when it's clear that, as human as they are, they're radically different from us (how can a two-dimensional creature that contains another universe and has a 3 dimensional shadow have a gender?), and therefore applying such concepts to them is somewhat absurd and I will continue to reffer to Adam based beings as "it" unless it's cases like Kaworu.
